Doing a little happy hour today @thedivemotel with my friends from @bulleit and @lipmanbrothers. Swing by (with your mask) for drink specials from 4-6pm if you’re local. Pictured here—my take on the ‘70s old fashioned variation—The Godfather—with @bulleit bourbon, biscotti liqueur and @angosturahouse bitters.✨

Celebrate the Holidays with Chambord

A very easy cocktail you can whip up in no time for Christmas or even the New Year is The Chambord Royale by simply adding 1/4 oz. of Chambord to your favortie glass of Champagne or Prosecco and garnishing it with a raspberry, blackberry or both. I’ve made my own little spin on this cocktail by turning it into a larger format punch for easy entertaining at-home or socially distanced. 1 cup of your spirit of choice (I recommend gin or Cognac) Top off with a bottle of sparkling wine Add lemon juice, Chambord and spirit to punch bowl. If you’re spending it apart, gifting a bottle and then making the Chambord Royale cocktail or punch over

Well. If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, I’ve been trying to get a bar up and running for our first full on summer post(ish) pandemic. After a very long, hard, cold, dark, Covid Winter. Can’t be more excited or proud of the launching of our new food program Taqueria @thedivemotel and of all the delicious summer cocktails coming your way. Like this Frozen Mango Margarita with @tequilacazadores, @anchoreyes verde and @tajinusa. If you’re local or you’re just passing through Nashville please drop by for a taco and a frosty beverage. Cheers everyone and happy #memorialday! 🌮🍹🕺🏻🌐 Thank you 📸 @hipdanichka

My Staycation at The Dive Motel

I took a little trip across town for a staycation at The Dive Motel here in East Nashville. I’m trying to stay positive and I’m also trying to support when I can. All the rooms come with a ‘Party Switch’ that spins a Disco Ball to the tunes of “Dive Radio”, consisting of 4 channels: If you live in town or are just stopping through, make sure you stay at The Dive Motel.

After a few crazy storms and a decent weather forecast for this week, I decided to put my plants out and clean the deck a bit to lift my spirits. The deck never really made it into the feed last year because I never got to finish it because of Covid related issues (every outdoor thing went out of stock forever and budget restrictions due to being unemployed). I am very thankful and lucky that my house was not affected by the recent storms and my heart goes out to those that were. Severe weather and storm anxiety was not a thing I was prepared for when I moved here. On top of the pandemic, an election and a bombing we’ve survived a tornado, multiple severe storms and now a flood. Did I bring the end of days with me? I’m not sure. But Nashville you need to chill because I just want to finally enjoy living here. #ALathome #apartmenttherapy #outdoorliving #mycb2 #targetstyle #worldmarket #sodomino #myhousebeautiful #pocketofmyhome #patio #patiodecor #deckdesign #nashville #eastnashville

Kiwi Watermelon Margarita Popsicles

Once done blending evenly distribute the kiwi margarita mix into the popsicle molds. Add your watermelon to the clean pitcher of your blender with the rest of the margarita mix. These Kiwi Watermelon Margarita Popsicles hit the spot on this very hot day because they’re tart and fruity and completely refreshing. Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits to use in margaritas and I’ve been drinking a lot of watermelon margaritas lately.

Happy #NationalMargaritaDay everyone! If you need some inspiration for celebrating one of my favorite cocktails—look no further. This Harvest Margarita is the perfect variation for winter with agave syrup that’s infused with warming baking spices. Harvest Margarita, serves 1 2 oz. Blanco Tequila 3/4 oz. spiced agave syrup (see my stories) 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice 2 dashes Angostura bitters equal parts salt and cinnamon, for rim lime wheel and star anise, for garnish Add tequila, spiced agave syrup, fresh lime juice and Angostura bitters to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a double rocks glass over ice. Finally, garnish with a lime wheel and star anise. And if that doesn’t do it for you I have so many options on my website. Just head to and search margarita and plenty of recipes will pop up. Cheers everyone! #ALinmyglass

Easy 3 Ingredient Quarantine Cocktails

it’s nice to have a few easy cocktail ideas up your sleeve. Firstly, add all ingredients into a wine glass filled with ice and stir. Add all ingredients to a double rocks glass with ice. If you’re in the mood for something light and refreshing, obviously an Aperol Spritz.

I love Sundays. I love a clean house. I love plants and I love cats. Drop a line in the comments below of things you love today. Also: what do you suppose Dolly is thinking? 🤔 And yes that framed needlepoint scored at a flea market says “cats are people too”. #ALathome

Today makes 3 consecutive days that I’ve worked out since getting Covid about 2 months ago. It’s been really hard for me to get back to being active because I have very low energy levels. When I moved here I was in the best shape I had been in since I was probably 24 years old. I was running 8 miles a day, I was eating healthy, I was staying hydrated and I felt GREAT. I’m trying not to be too hard on myself because 2020 was a very hard year for everyone. But I just want to feel great again. Sharing this because I want to be very transparent about how Covid and this pandemic has affected so many aspects of my life and to let anyone know who is also struggling that you are not alone. I’m trying to get back up and start again in so many different ways. Even if that means as small as forcing myself to go for a run or get on my exercise bike.
