For our family, we got a bit of a jump start thanks to Brenna’s daycare re-opening in mid-July. A great option to check out this month is DORA (AKA the designated outdoor refreshment area) at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst. Each day from 11AM to 9:30PM, you can purchase your favorite beer, wine or cocktail from Legacy retailers Bar Louie, The Melting Pot, California Pizza Kitchen or Wild Mango – to enjoy throughout Legacy Village*. Legacy Village has added tons of additional outdoor seating this year – and even a tent (from one of my favorite local event rental companies) to create a new patio area near The Lawn so you can make a day or night of it, no matter the weather. As Platform Beer Co.‘s resident yoga teacher, it won’t come as a surprise that the places I have frequented most in the past few months since reopening have been part of my favorite beer brand. The Lot — a space just down the street from their Lorain Avenue taproom featuring a socially-distanced outdoor beer garden and patio space. I met up with a group of friends one Sunday afternoon at Ninja City and while I wasn’t overly hungry, everything else that was ordered at the table looked incredible and had me wishing I arrived with an empty stomach. After a four mile hike in the Bedford Metroparks and an open top Jeep ride with my dad and his wife, we found ourselves in Tremont on the patio of one of my new favorite spots: the Literary Tavern.
