“Your perspective will either become your prison or your passport.” Being a family of 5 we constantly hear these statements… “I don’t know how you do it, I could never.” “I could never have that many.” “You must be tired all the time.” “You must never have time for yourself.” “Life will never be the same.” Our simple reply every time is always “IT’S ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE.” If you look at things and say wow it’s going to be hard then it WILL BE HARD. But if you say it’s going to be easy then guess what it WILL BE EASY. We actually never planned to have children but here we are and we now could never imagine life without them. We both grew up in homes where life was always on the go always something exciting to do and look forward to. Always a goal we were trying to achieve. And it was no different when we became adults and then when we had children we were not going to allow that to change anything we just now include them in those exciting goals and dreams. We still live a busy lifestyle and thrive in it and so do our girls. We didn’t adjust life for them they learned to adjust to our way of life. If someone needs a nap they can nap in the car or in a stroller. We don’t rush home for naps. 😅 We don’t leave parties early because it’s bedtime. We bring a pack and play and set up in the other room. If we go somewhere they are fully not loving we remind them it’s not always just about them we do things that maybe someone else likes more but that’s what you do for people you love. It’s all about teaching them life skills and learning to adapt in any setting. We were concert going, no set schedule, night owls who lived a fast paced life who had children. That now live the same life because why not. I’ll never understand changing your entire way of life because you have children. So to those who want children but fear life has to change or the ones who are struggling with their first born because you feel you can’t do the things you use to or the ones who are 5 deep and feel overwhelmed… remember life is all about perspective. In a world where everyone has opinion’s I have learned to become deaf to the negative noise and push forward. What started out 9 years ago as just a fun outlet for me as a new mom to now being our career is such a whirlwind. What I am truly grateful for is this career has allowed us to spend unlimited quality time with our girls. And that is truly priceless.
