I am a former morning news anchor from West Michigan turned stay at home mom. I have interviewed presidents and high ranking officials and now I spend my days chasing my two wild and crazy little boys. I’m originally a city girl but I’ve turned country, if you will. We are building our little homestead from the ground up and currently having chickens, ducks, rabbits and goats. It’s been a crazy transition from the world of TV news to full time mom. It has been a rollercoaster and I love sharing what I have learned with my followers. The good, the bad, the real! We need more of that!
Who doesn’t love a good deal?! And teaching my kids the fun in it…is even better! Scored yet again at the @jbfgrandrapids MEGA kids consignment sale. This event happens 2-3x per year in Grand Rapid and they carry THOUSANDS of kids items marked 50-90% below retail. Check them out & happy shopping!
We’ve hatched our own chicks a few times now and it never gets old. As much work as it all can be, these little priceless moments really make it all worth it. If you would have told me 20 years ago I would be doing this kind of stuff I NEVER would have believed you. Life has a funny of surprising you like that.
Do you ever wish you could just go back and live a week or two as a kid with what you know now? Just soak up all the care free energy and escape adulting for a bit? Yea…me too 😂
This just popped up on my memories from 8 years ago. My first billboard. It’s still so crazy to me how much has changed since then. I could have never, ever imagined things to play out like they have over the past few years. When I really think about it, it feels like a past life. Things like this used to mean “success” to me…now my idea of success is so very different. As hard as change can be it’s truly where SO much growth happens.
These are the kind of moments I hope my kids forever keep a snapshot of. We set out dozens of buckets around our property to collect sap from our maple trees to make our own maple syrup. Invited family and friends over for our maple syrup festival weekend and made priceless memories. I think it’s a new tradition we plan to keep going for years to come 🍁
Absolutely priceless memories sharing this news with our family. If you know my husbands side of the family, it’s kind of the running joke that they’ve been been building their own football team for decades. All brothers and grandsons. To say we were shocked when we got the news we would be adding a girl to the family is an understatement. We can’t wait to meet you baby girl 💕 #genderreveal
We were just talking about this the other day and it blows my mind. How are we this old?
Load up our goat at 7:30am to bring her to school? Why not!! Never in a million years did I think I would be packing up a goat for bring your pet to school day, but I love it. When I went to pick him up from school I heard some of the kids tell their parents about how they got to see a goat today. My boy had the biggest smile. These are the things I hope they always remember because I know I sure will 🤍
God is in this story: A part of having faith means believing that even though we don’t understand all things, He does. It changes how we get through our struggles. It gives you hope. It’s hard to see light in a storm, but faith helps you continue to seek it. It keeps you holding on. A few days before what would have been the due date after our first loss I was sitting in a parking lot just sobbing. I was listening to @joy99.3 and they shared a message about whatever storm you’re going through, that you just need to keep your eyes on Him and hold on, one step at a time. I’ll never forget when they said, “a storm has a beginning, a storm has a middle and a storm has an end.” I lost it. About 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. The day I went in to get my HCG levels tested, I pulled out of the parking lot and saw the brightest sun rise, followed by people sharing double rainbows they spotted all morning. I never saw one even though everyone nearby was sharing them. We then had our 20 week scan, exactly a year and a day after that first loss. The timing. Wow. A few days later, I went in for a follow up appointment at the doctors office and @joy99.3 was on the radio in the waiting room, they were talking about believing in miracles, encouraging people to remember they still do happen everyday. Chills. I see you, God and we can’t wait to meet this gift 🤍It’s also not lost on me, those that are still holding on. Hoping & praying. I’m holding on for your story still to be written.

You all know how much I love my Nuvita CBD and how much it has drastically helped in my mental health struggles. I’ve been openly sharing about that for over a year now. In that time, so many of you have tried it and have seen the impact on your own life. It is never lost on me every time someone reaches out to share their story on how it has helped. One thing I don’t talk about a lot though, is the other side of Nuvita. I got this in the mail this week and it was a nice surprise after a long week of sickness with my little guy. It’s made me think how much harder it was when I was working and the kids would get sick. So much more to juggle. So much more stress. I don’t talk about this side of Nuvita a lot because it still makes me uncomfortable (but we’re all about stepping out of comfort zones so here we go). This has been a blessing on so many levels & I’ve really been thinking about working to grow this more because there really is so much opportunity there for me and you. If you are one of the hundreds of people who have ordered nuvita from me and love it and use it…there is opportunity there for you. Of course I don’t make what I did with a full time working salary (maybe one day) but it has helped. This week it paid for my sons sick visit at the doctors and extra supplements. Little things like that add up. It has given me a sense of pride back in contributing some financially. Of course, most importantly the biggest purpose is helping people and connecting with them, but this added bonus I just don’t talk about enough. Why is there so much shame around this? I have to let it go. These products have changed my life when it comes to my mental health and have helped SO many of you. And yes, they have also helped my family financially. Thank YOU to every single person who has used my code. I guess I never saw myself here and maybe that’s why it makes me uncomfortable to talk about, but life has a funny way of surprising you…so here’s to stepping outside that comfort zone again. Who’s with me? Comment ‘info’ if you want to learn more.
