Mustang GT verification (1965

a real GT Mustang After watching this video you’ll have a pretty good understanding on what makes a real GT Mustang and how to identify a real GT Mustang from a fake or a clone! * A (or K) code in Vin# at 5th digit * large master cylinder with clip on top (for disc brakes) * quick ratio steering box (with HCC AW tag code for power steering or HCC AX tag code for manual steering) * GT dual exhaust hanger reinforcements in rear frame rails (*same as trunk clue) * brake line mount location left of exhaust bracket * GT dual exhaust “U shaped” reinforcements in rear frame rails (this one is our favorite ways to quickly find out if a Mustang is a real GT because it’s easily accessible and also happens to be one of the hardest to fake)

How to install a GT Mustang stripe

A detailed video on how to install a GT Mustang stripe. I know installing your own GT mustang stripe can be a daunting task The products and methods in this video will be basically the same for installing a GT stripe on 1965-1967 Mustangs. scissors – razor blade – painters tape – pen – Wax and grease remover – Solution of water and Dawn Ultra dish soap (the regular kind) (I used 3/4 teaspoon soap in 32 oz of water) – plastic squeegee (usually comes with the stripe kit) – paper towels – heat gun (or hair dryer)

A Glance Back to the Beginnings

My exposure at an early age to “all things automotive” was the trigger for a life long passion that allowed me to accumulate significant car knowledge. With the ever-increasing advancements in technology and a son who is both creative and tech savvy, we are finding it easier to share our car life journey through videos, photos, and blogs like this one. We are committed to staying current with technology in order to provide some high lights from of our car life journey and to offer superior presentations of the high quality cars we purchase and ultimately offer for sale. Here, the “secret sauce” in our success is our true passion for “all things classic cars” and our growing reputation for finding the uncommon high quality cars .

The shops we've had... and the shop we now call home!

Over the years we’ve been blessed to have several different shop environments to work in and we’ve enjoyed each one of them with it’s own unique qualities and quirks. We were able to handle quite a few more cars in this building and finally had enough storage space for all the “car part debris” that tends to collect around you as you travel along this road of buying, restoring, and selling classic cars. We have plenty of space to work on our projects, stunning floors, and even finally have room to display all of our vintage car memorabilia we’ve been collecting over the years. We’ve met so many wonderful people here and have on several occasions gotten to go flying in some of our neighbors’ vintage aircraft (I’m starting to catch the “flying bug” already).
