Garden Vegetable Pasta — Bless this Mess

This is such a great pasta dish that comes together in a snap, so plan on it for tonight so that you don’t have to think about dinner or take too long getting it ready. I chose to use canned or home bottled tomatoes in the recipe because working with fresh garden tomatoes in a sauce adds a lot of extra steps. It’s such a forgiving recipe and one that I make often in the summer when my garden is full of yummy things to eat. * This pasta is great served with a loaf of Rustic Italian Bread (takes a little time, so plan ahead), Super Simple No-Knead Bread (also a plan-ahead bread), or even Easy Breadsticks.

Amazing Baked Chicken Recipes

Sure I love to cook but that doesn’t mean that I don’t ever struggle getting dinner on the table for my people. One thing we all love is a great roasted chicken recipe and this particular recipe is a keeper; I can’t wait for you to try it, too. I’m always a fan of the easy roasted vegetable and seasonal fruit route, or you can serve these recipes with a pasta salad on the side, some kind of baked potato, or even biscuits. Quick Pickled Cucumbers and Onions — Bless this Mess

This fun recipe comes with a lot of variations so that you can make easy pickled cucumbers with what you have on hand all summer long; it’s so versatile. You can change up the kinds of veggies you add in with the cucumbers and onions, you can change how you chop things (which will make it more like a slaw or pickles), and you can change the herbs that go into them. I’ve also ventured out lately and made spicy homemade pickles and some really simple dilly cucumbers in vinegar (all of these recipes are for fridge pickles that you just eat, not the canning kind of pickle recipe). * Sometimes if I have little new onions in the garden, I’ll use them in place of the red onion in this recipe (slice up the little bulb and all the way up the green stem).

How Long to Bake Chicken Leg Quarters

It’s safe to say that chicken legs, along with other dark meat cuts such as chicken thighs and chicken leg quarters, are a family favorite. I can usually buy dark meat for up to half the price of white meat – It’s SO helpful to make sure you don’t overcook your meat, while still making sure it’s safe. If you can’t tell, I’m in love with dark meat chicken cuts and I hope I’ve convinced you to try them out if you aren’t yet converted – your wallet and your taste buds will thank me!
