Minki – Spring and Summer 2019 at London Fashion Week SS19

Influenced by Lorenzo Vitturi’s book called “Money Must Be Made”, Minki Cheng based his spring and summer 2019 looks on Vitturi’s passage through Nigerian Balogun Market on Lagos Island. All the components of the market, from the group of disparate objects, furniture, textiles, to the flavours are captured and shown in this collection. The colour palette of the collection translates the energy of this imaginative land and adapts the market concept designed by Vitturi. It adds vibrancy using a mixture of yellows, reds and deep sky blues.

Johnstons of Elgin – Spring & Summer 2019 at London Fashion Week SS19

The international press were invited to view 15 womenswear and 5 menswear looks, all of them produced in Scotland and worn by models. For SS19, Creative Director Alan Scott experiments with lightweight textiles and knit innovations in cashmere silk and cotton to demonstrate the versatility of cashmere, which can be worn through warm seasons. The island of Ischia makes up the core ingredients for the collection and creates garments made up of ultra lightweight, sporty luxury composing of tropical colours which includes hot pinks, lemons and electric blue. This unique collection, lovingly made in Scotland, retains our signatures of textile expertise, craft and tailoring for which we have become world renowned, whilst showing the fashion world – for the very first time – that the brand is for all seasons,” says Scott.

Getting my haircut with Murdock London over a glass of whiskey

It had reached the 13th week and my hair was looking seriously big all over and out of shape. My barber for the day was Dan and I felt I was taking quite a risk letting someone new shape my hair as I had a date the very next day. At the time I felt I must have been out of my mind as nothing would spoil my mood quite like my hair looking terrible, and believe me I am incredibly picky about how my hair looks. I think one important thing to mention when going in for a haircut, is to know exactly what you want and communicate this very clearly to your barber/hairdresser.

Men’s Summer Suits with House of Fraser

As a person who lives in suits nearly every day of the year by choice, it’s a thrilling time for me as it means I no longer have to hide away the suits I wear by burying it under my coats whenever I am outside. As I mentioned you should buy clothes that matches your personality, I chose a suit from House of Fraser based on what I would personally buy myself. On most occasions I like to stand out instead blending into the crowd so I chose this Adams Skinny Fit Three Piece Suit by Label Lab. It is suited for those with a slim figure as it wraps itself around the shape of your body and looks even better if you have wide shoulders as the jacket will stretch wider around the shoulders to compliment your figure, achieving that very masculine v-shape look torso many men desire for themselves.
