A Spring Afternoon at Home - Norah Pritchard

I’m sharing a few of my absolute favorites today, taken by the talented Anne at A. McGrath Photography. Seasons pass, and when I look up and realize another year is almost gone, I wonder how time is going so fast. The cuddles get more scarce as the boys get older, but Isla is a master snuggler and rarely let’s the boys away without a hug or two. Before the baseball season starts and the end-of-year school frenzy, it was so nice to slow down an afternoon and capture our silly, simple moments as a family.

Classic Pizza Dough - Norah Pritchard

Grandma’s Pizza” because of how often we ate pizza growing up. That’s why, when I tell you how easy and fast it is to make, you’re going to be a homemade pizza convert for life! There are only a few ingredients in pizza dough, and I bet you have most of them in your pantry right now: flour, salt,  yeast, and water. Thanks to watching Grandma Traino make pies, I like to sprinkle a little bit of olive oil and then oregano on top of the dough and edges before the sauce and toppings.

Classic Scotch Shortbread - Norah Pritchard

While Scotch Shortbread is just that, Scotch, my mom has made this recipe for as long as I can remember on St. Patrick’s Day as a special nod to our heritage. Whether for a traditional holiday, a quick after-dinner treat, or as a gorgeous addition to a wedding, baby shower, or special Mother’s Day brunch, these tender, buttery cookies whip up in a snap. Here in NY, I like to serve them, say, on a Tuesday after a long day when I just want to eat a cookie without rolling and cutting dough. While Scotch Shortbread and sugar cookies are similar, sugar cookies have more ingredients like eggs and baking powder to make them rise.
