Highlights
Wandering To: The Greek Island of Milos

Milos is a volcanic Greek island renowned for its otherworldly beaches and enchanting landscapes. How to get there & Around To get to Milos, you can either take a four hour ferry ride from Athens (or another Cycladic island if you’re hopping around the islands), or hop on a 45 minute flight from Athens. If you’re arriving by ferry, you’ll start your trip in the port town of Adamas, which has a slew of rental companies to choose from. With 200+ Greek islands to choose from, it’s worth coupling your trip to Milos with another Cycladic Island.

Wandering to: The Tranquil Greek Island of Sifnos

Wandering to: The Tranquil Greek Island of Sifnos I’ve often dreamt of having an idyllic Greek island getaway complete with whitewashed buildings, heavenly beaches and stone paved streets lined by tavernas serving up fresh octopus. While this is the only way to reach Sifnos, it’s also a perfect way to start a Greek island escape! Like the beach, any trip to a Greek island isn’t complete without exploring some charming whitewashed villages. It’s a charming area with the typical winding stone streets you’d expect a Greek island to have.

Las Clementinas: Playing House in Casco Viejo

On my recent trip to Panama City, my usual game of playing house felt like an actual reality thanks to Las Clementinas. It’s also located right in the center of Casco Viejo- the picturesque historic district of Panama City, and a clear choice for my if-I-lived-here dream neighborhood. While each had a similar set up- a spacious living/dining room, kitchen and adjacent bed and bathroom, plus two balconies- the decor of each apartment was distinctly different. And while I’ll sadly never get to have a drink with Clementina, it was enough just to be a guest in her home, look out from her rooftop and raise a glass to all the Clementina’s of the world.

Finca Victoria: A Dream Come True in Vieques

From its carefully crafted vintage decor to outdoor showers and an incredibly lush setting, the exquisitely designed bohemian space I had long constructed in my head apparently already existed. After enjoying our decadent breakfast we took some time to relax in El Livin, the Finca’s beautifully curated communal space. The poolside area consists of a kitchen, living room (with an amazing 70’s vibe couch that I need to find for my own apartment), and a wide selection of mostly locally made artisanal goods, and Sylvia’s two adorable dogs. We eventually managed to pry ourselves away from the Finca for one last trip to the beach-, but not before grabbing some provisions from El Livin’s snack and wine fridges- just one of the many special touches we would come to discover during our quick stay.
