Grettings! My name is Kimberly, and My husband, Adam and I began Adventures in New York (formally know as Family Adventures in New York State) in 2014 as a way to share our love of our home state with the world. We are both native New Yorkers, born and raised in Western New York. When our children were little, we would search for places to go with them that were fun and unique. The idea to create our website came from friends who would watch our “family adventures” posted on social media, and encouraged us to share our road trips and adventures with the world. Initially, Family Adventures was a part-time endeavor that I did working around my real 9-5 job. In 2016, I took the great plunge and turned this website into my full-time job.
I have written for numerous travel websites and I have also worked as a music journalist. However, my true love has always been my website and traveling around New York State. I love finding unique places to visit, restaurants to enjoy a delicious meal, phenomenal hikes, breathtaking waterfalls, incredible campgrounds or just finding ourselves while getting lost on a back road somewhere. We have had the privilege of stumbling upon some truly incredible places in our state and we keep looking for more. It is my passion to share these fun outings and adventures, hidden gems and little-known destinations with my readers as well as insprie them to embark on their own adventures.

The 50-acre property consists of numerous themed gardens and a Victorian mansion. The beauty of this amazing destination is a haven for garden lovers, nature photographers, and history lovers alike. This nature center is the perfect place to watch spring blossom with new life. The Nature Center is made up of over 600 acres.
