I don’t feel like working out today! Should I take the day off or push through❓ It depends… Remember, only YOU know what’s best for your body. Here are some signs it might be time to rest on a scheduled workout day : 🛌 Persistent fatigue or lack of energy 🤕 Lingering soreness or pain 😴 Difficulty sleeping or disrupted sleep patterns 🔥 Decreased performance or motivation 💔 Feeling irritable There’s also a few ways to rest: 🏋️♂️ Active Recovery: - Light exercises like walking, yoga, or stretching - Promotes blood flow and reduces muscle stiffness - Helps maintain mobility and flexibility 💤 Complete Rest: - Taking a break from all forms of exercise - Allows your body to fully recover and repair - Essential for preventing burnout and overtraining I personally take two active rest days and one complete rest day. Without these rest days I feel the fatigue on my strength days. So listen to your body, honor what it needs, and remember, it’s okay to hit pause when necessary.
