Christians and Yoga (Why I Practice Without Guilt!)

Every so often the same old arguments about yoga and Christians resurface. I had resolved to keep my thoughts to myself about the matter,  but as I was reading (though not responding) to a recent online kerfluffle there were a number of comments from people like me, who had successfully used yoga to help manage their chronic illness issues and didn’t understand why there had to be such a fuss

A Beginner's Guide to Making Infused Water

Infused water is created by adding various fruits, vegetables, and herbs to your water, and then letting these ingredients flavor the water. After you select the ingredients you want to use for your infused water, you will then need to prep them before putting them into the water pitcher. When making infused water, you will add the produce and herbs first, then add your room temperature or cold water on top. Keep in mind that if you drink the infused water the same day, you can usually refill it 2-3 times with the produce in the pitcher or cup and still get good flavor from it.

Chronic Mom Life

Fohm was created to turn your existing toilet paper into a wet wipe. It’s pH-balanced, paraben free and fragrance free and designed to turn your existing toilet paper into a wet wipe. It’s a paraben-free, pH balanced and fragrance-free version of what you find in a baby wipe from a national brand (insert your favorite one here). and there’s nothing worse than being in a public restroom and wiping yourself raw with the store’s cheap toilet paper.

An Open Letter to Dr. Phil About Caregiving

In the March 12 episode of Dr. Phil, the popular TV host told a struggling young couple point blank not to combine caregiving duties and romance, after Harley had become a full time caregiver for her boyfriend Bailey, who was quadriplegic. When I watched your recent clip telling a young woman involved in a relationship with her quadriplegic boyfriend that “You can be his lover or you can be his caregiver, but you can’t be both… It won’t work, 100 out of 100 times this won’t work,” I got a little nauseous. Your insensitive comments were a slap in the face to the THOUSANDS of families – including military and special needs families who are living this reality every day with virtually no outside help.
