Love is the cure 💘 This is your lesbian visibility week reminder that there is no “right way” to look like a lesbian. I (Alex) spent so much energy after coming out to make up for lost time that I thought hyper masculinizing was the only way I could prove that I was a visibly authentic lesbian. BUT femininity is a feeling, not an aesthetic. I exist between confused glances in the women’s restroom and distasteful glances by men because I don’t look “feminine enough”. Sometimes we have to be the representation we want to see in the world and show everyone we exist and we’re not going anywhere. However you present - butch, femme, stem, masc, nonbinary, or anywhere and nowhere in between - you are valid, you are unique, and I see you!
