I’m currently in the process of relaunching simplypotter.com where I plan to create more content around travel, specifically how to plan trips to wizarding locations around the world. On a recent episode of Binge Mode, The Ringer’s wildly popular Harry Potter podcast, hosts Mallory Rubin and Jason Concepcion talked through their picks for a five-person rescue mission team, assembled solely from members of both iterations of the Order of the Phoenix. he comes from a powerful wizarding family, his skill is amazingly underrated, his usefulness as a dog could always prove valuable, he seems like the type of guy who is a lazy player in practice but always shows up on game day, and as we see in the Ministry battle, he’s not afraid to resort to Muggle tactics ( she’s unafraid to go toe to toe with Dolores Umbridge and the Ministry at large in Order, both verbally and physically, standing up for Harry and his desire to become an Auror, and later taking four stunning spells to the chest in her efforts to protect Hagrid. His wizarding skills are pretty dang impressive in their own regard (no thanks to Lockhart’s dueling lessons) and his flying talent and associated hand eye coordination and athleticism are valuable skills to have.
Patrick Star and you live under a rock, you’ve surely seen by now the biggest news coming out of the new Fantastic Beasts: the Crimes of Grindelwald trailer that dropped this morning * Until now, the pre-eminent connection point between the Potter series and Fantastic Beasts has been the inevitable battle between Grindelwald and Dumbledore. However, with the introduction of Nagini into the Fantastic Beasts series, could we perhaps have another connection point that plays out in future installments?? Does Nagini’s new backstory mean that Voldemort might’ve had some form of affection, albeit twisted affection, for someone else besides himself??

But, if you want to avoid the sometimes hellacious lines at Ollivander’s and get straight to magic casting, you can grab a wand online before heading to Universal Studios.
