Highlights
It was twenty (minus fifteen) years ago today…

For example, one thing that won’t ever leave me was saying goodbye to Lisa for the last time, the day before she passed away. At the time of deciding to head home, saying goodbye didn’t seem like it was going to be the last time I’d see Lisa, as I just assumed that I’d get another call to drop everything again and drive back down to London. I don’t know if these are normal thoughts and reactions, just like I don’t know if being able to talk so at ease about Lisa is normal, but I guess we’re all different and cope in different ways. We’re immensely lucky that the great memories are on tap for all of Lisa’s family and friends, and that there’s always someone not too far away that’s more than willing to share a story or two about her.

Sorry, I think.

Maybe it’s the fact that it’s had over 3.5m hits, I know that’s all maybe sounded like a bit of a diatribe about how proud I am of all my family; and I’m sorry That’s not me complaining in any way, it’s just stating a fact. Any time you have to step into Lisa’s shoes, you’re gonna be in for an interesting and difficult ride.

Spinning Around

, thank you, very uplifting on a week when again I was taken aback for a moment by a big stack of The C Word as I walked into my local Waterstones and by the news that the amazing Sheridan now lives in the same little town as me. Lisa is never far from my thoughts, happy thoughts at the news that Harrison has started school. After all of that i have decided to start a blog, from the inspiration of the one and only Lisa Lynch. My blog is only starting out but hopefully, it will be just as funny as lisa's.

The redefinition of winning

The blog page went ape-shit, Lisa's Twitter feed went ballistic, we had emails & messages from all over the country saying how much the film had touched people's lives and helped people. Obviously I wanted the team to win something, but just being nominated was a further show of recognition for the quality of the production and the impact that Lisa's words have had on so many people's lives. Call me biased, but I'm almost certain that there could have been no team who'd worked as hard and expended so much energy into such a moving Drama as The C Word team, and no actress who'd given her all as much as Sheridan Smith. It's been a while since we've posted on here, and with a lot of Lisa/The C Word related milestones recently, the time seems right, so here we go.
