Park Avenue Bars Recipe

Park Avenue Bars is a rich, delicious dessert recipe made of a buttery cake base, chopped pecans that is then topped with a sweetened cream cheese topping that is then baked, cooled, and cut into individual bars for serving. Totally optional, but I also like to line my baking dish with parchment paper, making sure to leave enough at the ends to allow me to easily lift the bars from the baking dish to cool and cut for serving. Pour the cream cheese mixture on top of the pecans and cake layer, making sure to spread it to the edges. Alternately, if you lined the baking dish with parchment paper, allow to cool for about 5 minutes in the baking dish and then carefully lift the edges of the parchment to remove the Park Avenue Bars from the baking dish to cool completely on a wire rack.

Chicken Cacciatore Recipe

The English translation of cacciatore is hunter or huntsman and in food preparation, this generally means cooking a rustic meal of tomatoes, onions, and peppers along with chicken or even rabbit. I love that it is made with whatever type of chicken your family loves – chicken thighs, legs, breasts, or even a combination – browned and then cooked in the flavorful rustic tomato-based sauce. The sauce is made of onions, celery, garlic, mushrooms, bell pepper, and crushed tomatoes all simmered with herbs and seasonings. Reduce the heat to low, add the chicken and juices from the plate back into the skillet, cover and cook until the chicken registers 165ºF when checked with an internal meat thermometer.

Classic Pot Roast Recipe

Best Cuts of Meat for Pot Roast Remember, I said that pot roast isn’t a specific cut of meat and is more the method of how you cook that meat. Instant Pot – Use the saute function of your Instant Pot for in-pot searing of your roast. To cook in a slow cooker, sear your beef on all sides and then add to your slow cooker (if yours doesn’t include an in-pot browning option). To cook in an Instant Pot pressure cooker, sear the beef on all sides using the Saute function of your Instant Pot.
