Off the Strip - Things to do Near Las Vegas

Red Rock Canyon National Recreation Area is arguably the most popular outdoor spot in the Las Vegas area. The area only has one paved road that leads into the monument and if you want to drive through the area and visit all of its landmarks, you will need a four-wheel drive. Located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the Black Canyon sits right below the well-known Hoover Dam. Otherwise known as Sloan Canyon, this area boasts gorgeous desert scenery, several hundreds of petroglyph panels and a number of great hikes.

Free and Cheap Attractions to do in Rome

Visit the Vatican on the last Sunday of the month Contrary to the state-run attractions that are free on the first day, visit the Vatican on the last day in the month for completely free entry before 13:30! You’ll have free-roam access to the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica and can save almost €30 per person. This old Roman fortress sits at the base of St Angelo Bridge just above the river, promising a brilliant photo opportunity whilst walking across the bridge from the city center. It may be a relaxing place to unwind just outside of the city centre, but the key attraction to Aventine Hill is the magnificent views of Rome and the Vatican’s St Peter’s Basilica.

Cheapest Ways to get from Orly & Charles de Gaulle or CDG to Paris

You may need to walk or take a free Aeroport de Paris shuttle bus to the train terminals where you can board the RER B. If you are at Terminal 1, take a line 2 shuttle from gate 22 and drop off at Roissypole-Terminal 3. For those who do not wish to get on the Roissybus, Air France provides an excellent shuttle service called “Le Bus Direct” that depart Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2. Line 2 departs for the Arc de Triomphe every half hour between 5:45 AM and 11:00 PM, while Line 4 departs for Gare de Lyon every half hour between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. The shuttle trains leave the terminals every 20 minutes between 5:00 AM and 11:30 PM, and take ten minutes to get to the RER station for the price of €2.50.

The Rocky Mountaineer Experience

The Rocky Mountaineer is only a two-day train journey, so you definitely should spend more time afterward to see the Rockies. We really wanted to include Moraine Lake, but by the time we left Lake Louise, the parking lots were already full and we'd have to park in the highway parking lots and get a shuttle to the next lake. When traveling the Rocky Mountains, the weather changes quickly, so even though it was a downpour at 4:30 that morning, we decided to give it a shot and make our way to Morain Lake, located near Lake Louise. If you are planning a Rocky Mountaineer train journey, why not save it to Pinterest for future reference Followed by a tour of Banff, gives the Rocky Mountaineer that extra edge over other train journeys in the world.
