How I became a freelance Social Media Manager

It seemed that my services as a social media manager were unwanted. I still wanted to work as a social media manager, but I felt that I must have been doing something wrong as I wasn’t getting any work. So instead of marketing myself as a social media manager, I became a social media guru specialising in Instagram and Pinterest. In the end, it was specialising in Instagram and Pinterest (and incorporating my skills in Graphic Design and Photography) that made the biggest difference to how marketable I was as a social media manager.

10 activities you absolutely have to do in Sydney

Aside from having the best year-round weather of any place we’ve been, it also has great access to beaches, plenty of culture, a damn pretty harbour, and is generally just a nice place to hang out. There’s plenty of touristy stuff to do in Sydney, and I’m sure anyone who has visited the city will give you a list of must do activities, but I’m going to give you some ideas that are slightly off the beaten path. I’ve seen the harbour from nearly every angle (I even used to have views of it from my old workplace in Martin Place) and I will never ever get sick of it. Both Robert and I agree that this is a hugely underrated part of Sydney culture, as the Asian food here is better than anywhere in the world (except Asia itself, of course).

My 2 week itinerary for a southern US road trip!

The South generally refers the states that go by the southern way of life rather than the states themselves, and Florida doesn’t really have that stereotypical southern-ness. I’ll be starting in Miami, and aside from hitting up the famous South Beach, I’ll also be exploring Little Havana, the Art Deco District, and Wynwood Walls. We’ll do an airboat tour to see some ‘gators, then head onwards to St Petersburg to check out St Pete’s Beach and the famous Loews Don CeSar Hotel (though we won’t be staying there! Our trip to Georgia has ulterior motives – we’ll actually be heading to a town near Atlanta to crash a friend’s family Christmas dinner!
