We got to see our baby yesterday!!! Kim is six weeks pregnant and our baby is actually developing slightly ahead of schedule! Our tiny babe is now the size of a pomegranate seed! It’s too early to hear a heartbeat but we did get to see it. The tiniest flicker on the ultrasound monitor. Our doctor was pleasantly surprised. We’re so excited for her next appointment because we might be able to actually hear the heartbeat! The crazy story of how we found our forever home! I downloaded @zillow to keep an eye out for homes in Atlanta that might fit what we were looking for. We made a list of needs: Enough bedrooms for us, two kids and friends when they want to come visit. A fenced in backyard for our dog Toby. More full bathrooms! Having only one full bathroom was awful anytime we had visitors in town. And last but not least, a great school system Then we each made a list of wants: I wanted a more open concept for our living space. Kim wanted a bigger kitchen to cook in so we aren’t on top of each other when we cook as a family. I found the perfect home on a Friday evening at 5:45 but they were only accepting offers through Sunday night!!! They weren’t even showing it to anyone until their open house on Saturday at noon. I sent Cara and our realtor to the open house to make sure it matched the photos. Best friend ever!!! I flew out with Breslyn to see it a day later, on Sunday at 3 pm and FELL IN LOVE!
