April Favorite Things

This is a great way to organize a bunch of smaller items in a bigger drawer so that they’re easy to find. Once I had my junk drawer taken care of I had a bunch of miscellaneous items that needed a home and that’s where my next section of items came into play: 4. What I love about these is that they come with little dividers that you can put wherever you like so the container fits around your items rather than you having to find very specific sized ones to fit your items. I got the more neutral vent clip from their ONE line and it’s perfect for someone like me who likes the car to smell fresh without being overpowering!

DIY Firepit

I wanted to share this DIY today because it’s SO easy that you could grab what you need for it today and be enjoying your very own fire pit in time for the 4th of July tomorrow! so we paid $50 (+ $4.90 for the sand inside and the concrete adhesive) to build our pit. With the current price of the blocks it would cost $71.20 (+ $4.90 for the sand inside and the concrete adhesive). You don’t want to burn a fire right on the concrete of the patio (or grass if that’s where you’re building it)

We Bought a House!

We started looking before Christmas and got our final offer accepted in early February which in the grand scheme of things was really fast. mom made it possible for us to get the house and my parents came up every single weekend + some weekdays before we left and once since we got back to help us get everything done. Studded out, dry walled and carpeted one room in the basement that we use as the “dog’s room” while we are at work during the day Hooked up the washer and dryer in our upstairs laundry room which is seriously the greatest thing ever. My husband moved boxes and all our stuff like a champ and my mom spent almost one full weekend cleaning the townhouse so that we were able to get our security deposit back.

February Favorite Things

It’s a blue-ish black base coat with flecks of blue, silver + green glitter that looks different depending on what light you are in. It’s perfect for times when you need a purse but don’t want to tie up your hands like when you’re shopping. so it’s not too warm like a fleece robe and not clingy like a silk robe. It’s better than the robes at the spa + it washes and dries like a dream!
