Our time in the PNW was magical and beautiful and we loved it for so many reasons, but we have officially moved to Southern California. We currently live in the high desert area, but I’m serving all of Southern California! I’m really hoping to photograph more families because I’m finding myself leaning toward that special connection more and more (must be my time of life! ? ) There was something really sweet about watching these two little boys explore all the sand, dirt and rocks amongst that beautiful sunset. xoxo

proper photo credit: explained

Every human is different and therefore every photographer is different so while I think these sentiments are shared by many, it’s always fool-proof to take a quick minute to shoot the photographer of the image you’re using an email to make sure they are 1. If this was the case all of the time, why wouldn’t I want to share images with other creatives + vendors whose beautiful work and talent helped make my job an easy one! ? (In this situation, I send an email or dm if I can’t find an email, with screenshots of my photo being used without permission, let alone credit, and send them an invoice for a commercial use license. You’re welcome to use these images on your website + social media outlets with proper photo credit, as outlined below:

Best of 2017

As it winds to a close I wanted to reflect on a few of my favorite images I created this year. We are amazing humans who can do great things, so I say give yourself permission to C E L E B R A T E every once in a while! I LOVE my couples, and always have– and that has always been at the heart of my business– but this year I made it a point to show and tell them and the world just how special they are to me! ” so while I set goals all the time, the end of the year is one of my favorite times to reflect.

Maternity at home

Sarah and Ben’s at home maternity session was inspired by This maternity session was inspired my Sarah’s experience at the Loom Workshop with Ginny Au. So while I won’t pretend to be able to explain the Loom Curated process, in short: Sarah and Ben and Amy from Gather Design Company  worked together to create a stylized “set” in their own home. Sarah prepared so well for it– she and Ben blocked out different actions they love to do together; baking bread and breaking it at their table; snuggling and reading under a chunky blanket.
