Instead Of Reading ANOTHER Morgan Wallen Apology... - Country Music News Blog

I’m sure his fans will forgive him (again) and I’m sure this isn’t the last time he’ll embarrass the hell out of himself and everyone that stands at his side no matter what he does. Instead of giving Mr Mullet anymore press, let’s take all these beautiful clicks and turn them towards some real talent… like Mae Estes who has been making a HUGE impact on TikTok with her raw talent, approachable personality, and of course her amazing ability to capture real life in a song. You can find out all you want to know about Mae Estes by of course following her on TikTok, or by checking out her FlowPage. You can help build the next big star in country music by pre-saving her new track “Roses” on your favorite streaming platform.

Why T.J. Osborne's Coming Out Matters - Country Music News Blog

In a time when country music seems more accepting than ever before, why should it matter that a grammy-winning, chart-topping artist like T. J. Osborne of The Brothers Osborne felt the need to make a very public statement about being openly gay in a major trusted new outlet like TIME Magazine? It seems like an obvious question when the majority of popular music is already on board with gender fluidity and open sexuality, but that’s the whole point… Country Music and the audience it serves isn’t like the rest of pop music. Country radio likes to tout itself as the last defenders of conservative values in mainstream entertainment, and when an artist does out themselves, it’s always someone who was already on the fringe (pun intended Orville Peck) of the genre, or on the sunset stage of their career. It may seem amazing that in this day and age we event have to consider the effect of a person’s sexuality in terms of their music career, but how about we consider in terms of its affect on their humanity?

Listen Now: Jimmie Allen and Brad Paisley "Freedom Was A Highway" - Country Music News Blog

Allen and Paisley’s vocals pair to reminisce about the nostalgia and simplicity of more carefree, youthful days; the track also features a distinctive Paisley signature guitar solo. I use my guitar to make a record sort of sound like I’m on it even before you hear me sing, and I love this guitar solo. Freedom Was A Highway” was first featured on Allen’s star-studded record Bettie James, which has garnered more than 118 million streams and widespread critical acclaim since its July 2020 release via Stoney Creek Records/BBR Music Group. NPR calls the project “an announcement of [Allen’s] arrival” and a “huge step for Country” while Billboard hails it “a powerful statement from a developing voice.

Oklahoma's Jeremy Studdard Releases Debut Album 'On My Own' Today - Country Music News Blog

(Blake Shelton’s native turf), built a name for himself as the lead singer of the Jackson Tillman Band, which he fronted for five years before going solo. the best of 90s country” — George Strait, Keith Whitley, Travis Tritt and Hank Williams Jr., to name a few — Studdard is a staunch advocate for “real” country, the kind with actual fiddle, no synthesized beats and honest, relatable stories. Studdard has the kind of country voice that’ll catch on the heartworn splinters of a broken relationship one minute, then capture the passion of a newly forged one the next.
