10-Minute DIY Key Holder & Our Favorite Hang-Anything Solution – 7th House on the Left

Later that day, I went to Target and picked up a 5×7 gallery frame as well as a pack of cute thumb tacks and a package of 3M picture hanging strips. I put three 3M strips on the back of the memo board and attached it to the side of the fridge – and immediately went to the “junk drawer” in the kitchen and started to attach things to it… (Pretty sure it’s Minwax’s Special Walnut since that’s our favorite go-to.) We’ve found that we can throw our keys on it and it doesn’t it feel like it’s giving or going to fall off.

The Nashville Flea Market – 7th House on the Left

Whenever we’re able to make a trip to Nashville, we always plan it around the dates for the Nashville Flea Market. Yes, we love the windows, but my and Greg’s favorite find from the Nashville Flea Market to date is a beat up vintage guitar. For a while now, I’ve been saying that I wanted to find an old guitar to hang on the wall in the dining room – something that looked like it belonged in Deacon Clayborne’s house. We picked it up from my brother’s house on our next trip out there and brought it home with the ten windows we picked up for our friends.

DIY POTTERY BARN-INSPIRED PINBOARD – 7th House on the Left

A long time ago, I made an “inspiration board” of sorts and loved it, but as time went on, the needs for my office space changed, and so did my style. For good measure, and peace of mind, later on I went back with a heavy duty stapler and secured the fabric, batting and tape the the board. As soon as Greg got the board on the wall, I grabbed a box from the cabinet that I’ve been stashing anything paper-like that I thought was well-designed, or special notes that I wanted to keep and started pinning. We’ve been working on another cool DIY project in this room, and I can’t wait to share it with you guys soon.

CHARMING-YET-FUNCTIONAL SHOE STORAGE – 7th House on the Left

As a solution, we’ve threw around of a myriad of storage options, including moving things around in the laundry room closet to make room for a shoe shelf (like this) or even building a built-in storage bench of some sort in the laundry room. Some of Greg’s shoes have to tilt up a bit, but all in all, we couldn’t imagine a better storage option for us. For a trip down memory lane, here’s what the laundry room looked like when we bought the house On top of that, we were able to stay within a reasonable budget because our new favorite shoe storage solution ended up being only $25 more than the shoe storage cabinet we were going to buy.
