How to see the Scottish Highlands in 7 Days

12 Best countries to visit in 2017 How to see the Scottish Highlands in 7 Days Taking the high road on the NC500 We don’t often explore the UK, so we decided to try a longer staycation with a road trip through the Scottish Highlands along the ‘North Coast 500‘ – Scotland’s very own Route 66! However it’s not the name of the road, instead it’s the route named by the Scottish tourist board to see the best of the Scottish Highlands. For those who don’t know Scotland – it’s one of four countries that make up Great Britain, the Scottish Highlands is the mountainous region in the North West of Scotland

9 Must See Attractions & The Best Tapas Dishes

The gothic quarter (Barri Gotic) is in the heart of Barcelona’s Old Town dating back to Roman times,  it really does feel like stepping back in time walking amongst the medieval architecture. To get to Barceloneta Beach you can walk from La Rambla which takes about 20 minutes, which was our preffered way as you’ll pass some more impressive sights like the tall Christopher Columbus monument and ‘The Face’ – a modern pop art statue by Roy Lichtenstein. You have to eat Tapas when you visit Barcelona, and you’ll find traditional tapas bars like Jai-Ca on virtually every street serving up a huge variety of these small dishes, it’s foodie heaven, you’ll never be short on choice to suit any budget. You can buy a T10 ticket for 10 journeys for the best value about €10 Tip #3: Look out for “Menu of the day” found at more traditional tapas bars in Barcelona.

Phil and Garth’s Travel guide and video to New York City

12 Best countries to visit in 2017 Everything you need to know for 5 awesome days in New York City Garth’s been to New York City a couple of times, but it was Phil’s turn to take his first bite of the Big Apple. We chose to spend our 5 days discovering New York City’s smallest borough – cosmopolitan Manhattan Island and a couple of parts of Brooklyn. Our other favourites included The Woolworth Building, Chrysler Building and The American Radiator Building, concrete has never looked so beautiful! Of course, one skyscraper stands out as New York City’s most iconic and most famous – The Empire State Building.

Phil and Garth’s Travel guide and video to Phnom Penh

The dark history of The Killing Fields and S21 Prison in Phnom Penh After visiting Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor, we finished our tour of Cambodia with a short flight to the country’s cosmopolitan capital city of Phnom Penh. The old city is near the river where you’ll find the main sights, while the historical sites of Cambodia’s genocides are located outside of the city. From the Palace and a tuk tuk ride away we took the stairs up to the buddhist temple – Wat Phnom which stands at the top of Mount Penh, the only hill in the city. The temple is dedicated to Madame Penh who according to legend discovered 4 Buddha statues in 1373 this is where the origins of the city began and where the city’s name comes from.
