Ellen White

Manchester City and England striker Ellen White joins Radzi for the final episode of the series. White, who was part of the women’s football side for the London 2012 Olympic Games and was joint-top scorer at the 2019 World Cup, talks about her childhood days playing alongside the boys, her breakthrough in the sport and the future of the women’s game. The podcast, brought to you in association with the University of Hull, invites Olympic athletes to talk through the moments in their lives they feel have defined them as the athlete and person they are today.

Max Whitlock

He first burst onto the Olympic scene at London 2012, where he won two bronze medals in the pommel horse and men’s team competition. Following further World, European and Commonwealth success, Whitlock created even more history at Rio 2016 where he won bronze in the all-around - Great Britain’s first medal in the event for 108 years. He followed this up by becoming the first British individual gold medallist with victory in both the floor and pommel horse events. The podcast, brought to you in association with the University of Hull, invites Olympic athletes to talk through the moments in their lives they feel have defined them as the athlete and person they are today.

Denise Lewis

Denise Lewis is part of the dynasty of British multi-eventers, making her name in the 90s and peaking at Sydney 2000 with Olympic gold. In this week’s pod Denise talks Radzi through the Whitney Houston song that inspired her to become an Olympian, the first time she realised she belonged at the elite level and the inside story of that triumph in Sydney. The podcast, brought to you in association with the University of Hull, invites Olympic athletes to talk through the moments in their lives they feel have defined them as the athlete and person they are today.
