Wow, it’s 2021 and I finally (actually) really like how I look 🙃 I’ve been doing some serious healing and work the last year on myself. I’ve mentioned it before, but if you’re not following people who encourage you to love yourself for who you are and how you look, and also inspire you in positive ways, what are you even doing on this social network! I made a commitment to myself to engage and follow REAL people on Instagram who have helped me grow big time. I encourage you to do the same. Also, I have avoided these jeans for a while because I didn’t like how they looked on my stomach. But hiiiiiiiiiiii who cares because they are comfortable, not stained (lol) and fit MY BODY! You know, the body I am currently in that gives me life!? They fit THAT body so I’ll be wearing these jeans again proudly.

@naraforall getting me through the end of this wild year ✨

Don’t mind me - just creating my very own at home spa with the help of @naraforall! I recently got to work on some commercial photography for this brand I found on Instagram. I randomly stumbled upon their page, checked out the website, and instantly fell in love with their mission and story. The mission at @naraforall is to normalize plus size bodies in the beauty industry. They intend to change the beauty industry standard so all figures, in whatever shape, size, color, they come in, can be celebrated. As I’ve been on a personal journey of finding myself and learning to love my body, this was a mission I could most definitely get behind. So, I reached out and offered photography services. Through the process of this first message, I met @mindycityy - the founder of @naraforall. Mindy is an advocate for body positivity, inclusion, and representation. Again, truly so happily surprised by the amazing community I’ve started discovering here on @instagram. I’m excited to share more photography work and MOST excited to be using a skincare line that is clean, non toxic, made in small batches and sustainable. I’m so proud of @mrtheodosis for executing yet another beautiful furniture piece. This one is made with ZERO screws and you can see the wood joinery if you swipe through. I’m so insanely impressed with how Matt continues to practice and learn new ways to pursue his craft. Also, if you’re interested in following along on a more curated experience with Matt on his furniture and woodworking, we decided to have @porthosstudio house his work. ❤️ Follow along there, where he will be sharing more content and items that he is selling and working on.

Spent the morning finding treasure in the form of fallen leaves, sticks and mud. 🍂 It’s finally really feeling like winter in Arizona and we are trying to soak it up while we can.

Since coming back to @instagram, I’ve been on the hunt for a community of plus size women who can inspire me. For so long, I had a bad relationship with social media. It was mostly my own doing, but I took a break earlier this year and I’m happy to have had the reset I needed to come back to this space. I recently joined my new internet pals @mindycityy & @iamgenap on their account @howitfitsplus. The account is all about showcasing plus size women who are above the standard “model” size and look for clothing brands. It’s a way to urge brands to be more inclusive of the people representing their clothing, and that all shapes and sizes can rock these clothes. It’s a way to showcase all of the amazing humans on this platform with a taste for fashion who may not have ever felt proud to represent their style because of the “norms” that society places on the physical appearance of an individual. I’m so excited to be joining their team on a project that I’m truly passionate about. If you’ve struggled with comparison or of shame in how you look, I urge you to reevaluate who you are following and engaging with on this platform. Nourish your mind with influential folks who encourage you to be proud of the skin your in and radiant from the inside out.
