The new Airport Overlook at CLT Airport opens tomorrow (6/7/2024)! This place is a dream! There are restrooms. A covered dining space, a designated area for food trucks, a playground, and lots of aviation touches, like a whole jet. - And of course an expansive view of CLT runways to watch aircraft take off and land. The playground made my inner aviation geek SQUEAL! The little aviation touches incorporated into it are the cutest things ever. P.S. There are inclusive play equipment installed, so families of children with disabilities, please know that this space was made with your children in mind! The inclusive whirl is created for children in wheelchairs to be able to ride as well, and there’s a sensory wall with interactive elements that don’t require grip. There is also space under the towers to hide away if sensory issues so demand. My team at work actually had our hands in selecting these pieces to ensure the playground is inclusive beyond the bare minimums. Fine dining mystery shop from last week! I love being able to treat people in my life to a great meal. This shop paid $20 & reimbursed us for up to $120.
