Highlights

What a typical morning routine looks like for someone who is trying their best to be sustainable and plastic free. I shop at Biome, Boody and Earth's Tribe for most of my everyday essentials. I support Clothing the Gaps an indigenous organisation. I'm not as plastic free as I would like to be at the moment, I hope to have my own place by the end of the year so I can focus on being ad plastic free as possible. What one sustainable thing do you do daily?

I created some sustainable and eco-friendly inspirer colour pages, and I had the pleasure of colouring in with my housemates' children over the weekend. While we were colouring, we talked about the importance of cleaning up our rubbish and keeping our environment clean. It was really nice to see my designs being used and the conversation that started. You can check these out in my shop on the website. These colour pages are perfect for all ages! I would love to know what you think.

Would you switch to a reusable razor? Blade Care: Let your razor dry completely between each use. This will prevent the blade from rusting. If you use your razor regularly, you may need to change the blades every 2-3 weeks. I change mine once a year! Keep away from children and store in a dry safe space. Pack in your checked in luggage when travelling. You can check out our blog disposable razor vs. reusable razor to learn more Disclaimer: We are affiliated with Earth's Tribe and we do receive a small commission for every purchase made through our website!

If you want the smoothest, closest shave AND be plastic free. We recommend @earths_tribe Safety Razor. I purchased my Safety Razor 3 years ago - maybe longer. I shave less often and have no ingrown hairs. I switch out my blade once a year (if you use it every day, change every 2-3 weeks) I allow my Razor to air dry and dry completely to minimise rust on the blade. I store in a draw, away from children. One purchase for a lifetime of saving AND again NO PLASTIC!!! Read our blog on Disposable vs. Reusable Razors at www.simplyplasticfree.com.au Check the link in bio if you are willing to switch out your disposable razors for a stainless steel reusable Razor! Full video coming to TikTok later this week. Disclaimer: we do make a small commission on each sale.

The ACCC has instituted proceedings in the Federal Court against Clorox Australia Pty Ltd, the manufacturer of GLAD-branded kitchen and garbage bags, for allegedly making false or misleading representations that certain kitchen and garbage bags were partly made of recycled ‘ocean plastic’, in breach of the Australian Consumer Law. The ACCC alleges that Clorox represented that its GLAD Kitchen Tidy Bags and Garbage Bags were comprised of 50 per cent recycled ‘ocean plastic’ collected from an ocean or sea, when that was not the case. The ACCC alleges that these GLAD kitchen and garbage bags were instead partly made from plastic that was collected from communities in Indonesia up to 50 kilometres from a shoreline, and not from the ocean or sea. “We allege that the headline 'ocean plastic' statements and wave imagery on the GLAD bag packaging, and the use of blue coloured bags, created the impression that these GLAD bags were made from plastic waste collected from the ocean or sea, when this was not the case,” ACCC Chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb said. “We are concerned that, by its alleged conduct, Clorox deprived consumers of the opportunity to make informed purchasing decisions, and may have put other businesses making genuine environmental claims at an unfair disadvantage.” #greenwashing #gladbags #oceanplastic #oceanboundplastic #fuckplastic #saynotoplastic #singleusesucks

An incredible encounter with a wild echidna. I spotted this little guy on the side of the walking trail and at first he was scared and huddled up to protect himself. After a minute he uncurled and walked right towards us and we watched him for about 10 minutes while he scurried about and began digging for a snack 🐜 Have you seen a wild echidna before? #echidna #southaustralia #hikingadelaide #adelaide #thisisadelaide #kaurnacountry #wildanimal #savetheplanet #protectforests

NGL this was the best strawberry of my life! 🍓🤤 Nothing beats fresh local produce! You don't realise how flavourless supermarket produce is until you taste the good stuff!! I would love to see an alternative to the plastic trays. Have you seen berries for sale without plastic? 🤔 Thanks for the adventures @pup.loaf #summertown #adelaidehills #visitadelaidehills #southaustralia #freshproduce #supportlocalfarmers #boycottcolesandwoolies #visitadelaide #sagreat
