Perricone MD H2 Elemental Energy Serum and Eye Gel

Now the Elemental Energy De-Puffing Eye Gel; I’ve been using as an eye-serum as I just don’t find it hydrating enough for the entire day. The Elemental Energy products are great for all skin types and most common skin concerns such as acne/blemishes, ageing concerns, dullness, dehydration and oiliness. They add water rather than oils and there are few-to-no skin concerns that won’t benefit from added water; bearing in mind that the water in your skin is only roughly 80% from the water you drink and the other 20% needs to come externally. The whole Perricone Elemental Energy range includes the serum at £80 and the eye gel at £60.

REN Perfect Canvas Skin Enhancing Priming Serum

For a serum, Ren’s Perfect Canvas Skin Enhancing Priming Serum is pretty light on the ingredients, with only 18 overall. Instead of silicons, the product uses natural sugars from Agave, malt-sugar and Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide leave the gently mattified finish whilst a lactic probiotic is used to smooth out the skin (Lactococcus Ferment Lysate). This is a big difference from The Body Shop Tea Tree Serum that I use normally to defend against outbreaks, so I’ll see how I go; often the lack of ‘latest technology’ in that is offset by its unmatched ability to stop and/or kill spots. It’s simple yet very effective as a serum with some of my favourite smoothing and hydrating ingredients; but also a great primer for anyone wanting to put-off that midday shine for a few hours longer.

Tisserand Rose and Geranium Leaf

I originally picked this up at Home Sense who tend to stock Tisserand products from time to time. This was a weird one in terms of attracting my attention as I will tend to run a mile from anything with the word ‘Rose’ in it, particularly in the UK as our usual offering in rose products is often powdery, saccharin garbage. 100% naturally fragranced, you’ll find orange peel oil, geranium, ho wood, bergamot, orange leaf oil, patchouli, demascus rose, grape and pomegranate. If you do want to put some of the lost moisture back from washing, the accompanying Geranium Leaf hand cream has a softening base of sunflower oil,  aloe vera and calendula and continues the scent experience!

Work. Life. Time. Study. Skincare

I became very disenfranchised with the industry as a whole; you don’t need to look very far to find out what’s been going on with the fakery and steady decline in the financial viability of pure blogging. As defeatist as it probably sounds, it feels as though there’s no longer a place for actual experts within the ‘influencer’ industry any more, at least not where the money is – But as the Digital Marketing industry has been growing and growing, it’s something I’ve shifted into more and more. So as of August this year, I took a fantastic position at one of the North’s leading marketing agencies, working on some fabulous brands and projects.
