Did you notice the ghost mural at the end? 👀We had such a fun & interesting date night on our Fells Point Foodie Walking & History Tour with GetYourGuide in Baltimore. We enjoyed tasty food & drinks from 4 different restaurants in the city while learning so much history that we surprisingly did not know, even though we’ve lived near Baltimore for 18 years! 🌆 We saw Baltimore’s oldest surviving urban residence- the Robert Long House dating from the 1760’s, learned about the Fell family whom this area is named after, and saw ghost murals from the Prohibition era that were burned into the bricks by chemical reactions from lead paint. We have a newfound awareness of the historical architecture throughout the city. How cute is that rooftop sauna! 🫶We have flown in and out of Denver several times for our Colorado ski trips, but this time we decided to spend a few days exploring Denver with Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek as our home base. This hotel impressed us with the thoughtful extras that made it feel like we were guests in someone’s home rather than staying at a hotel. Some of our favorite perks included complimentary wine and local beer during the daily happy hour, free muffins, fruit, coffee (even fancy espressos and lattes), tea and water all day long. ☕️The gear garage is unlike anything we’ve ever seen at a hotel, with everything from sleds, Vespa scooters, bikes, snowshoes, skateboards, games, & more all available to borrow for free. 🛷We enjoyed playing games in the cozy lobby by the fire. 🔥 Halcyon hotel also gives guests complimentary passes to the Denver Botanic Gardens and several nearby fitness centers offering yoga, barre, and workout classes. 🧘🏻‍♀️The rooftop pool, hot tub, and adorable little sauna were definitely highlights of our stay. After skiing we appreciated being able to relax our muscles and unwind together as a family with a view of Denver’s skyline.
