5 Tips for starting a side-biz in your 20's

I started this blog 7 years ago, I’ve done freelance content marketing on the side for the last 8 years, and then in 2018 I started and successfully ran my first product-based business, Lucky Girl. If you’re good at it (your mum will say you’re good at everything, so ask more people than her), then write a big long list of everything you could do as a side-biz under this category. If you don’t have the money to invest into something, you better hope you’ve got the time (and drive) to hustle in order to make up for this. You’ll probably freak out when sales (or clients) don’t come rolling in straight away, you’ll most likely get sucked into the comparison trap with your “competition”, and you’ll definitely get pissed if your friends don’t support your business in some way (you need a support team, yo).

How to wear bold hair + my best hair dying tips

Sure, you’ve gotta have guts to dye your hair a non-natural colour, but YOLO really is a valid life motto here. I went with a root fade using the Clairol Colour Crave range (buy from Countdown or The Warehouse), and found it really easy to blend. There’s a standard amount of dye in each tube (although you’ll need to use a couple of tubes if your hair is long or thick), and it’s easy to use – not too thick, definitely not watery. To go in the draw to WIN three Clairol Colour Crave packs for yourself, and three for a friend, simply tell me in the comments below what colour you’d love to dye your hair!

Born in ’89 to an English mum and Swiss dad, I’ve grown up in New Zealand with all the terrible trends of the 90’s, and have been stylish ever since. Now in 2018, I live in Auckland with my partner Josh and two cats. Ruby Fearless was started in 2012 to take on the greatest adventure of my life – Ruby Fearless is giving modern women the knowledge and pep-talk they need, through life and style content, to achieve anything with confidence.

15 Ways to motivate yourself to success

If you’re slowly growing, you’re getting there, and if you’re not, you’re learning. This one might be hard when you’re first getting going and the $$$ isn’t there, but once you’re on your way I highly recommend looking into this. A post shared by ✨ NZ Digital Content Creator ✨ (@rubyfearless) on Being successful in my career is something I’m really thirsty for, but I’d be nowhere in the “hustle game” if it wasn’t for finding corners to cut, and things that just make life easier, as well as brands that I can trust are aligned with my values. I’ve been using the new L’Occitane Aqua Reotier skincare range for the last 3 months, and it’s stopped annoying dry skin in its tracks over Autumn, while providing a solid skincare system using only 3 products…
