At the beginning of this year, Gangwon (South Korea) hosted the 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 (𝗬𝗢𝗚) with an incredible presentation of 1,802 athletes who performed in more or less 15 disciplines across 7 sports😳⁣ ⁣ What impressed me wasn’t the amount of participants, but the 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴, making sure that the athletes had the necessary tools to face the most stressful situations.⁣ ⁣ As shared by the Olympics website, Lina Riedl, a bronze medalist at Gangwon 2024 shared “You don’t always recognise it from the outside, but it’s important. 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (BSP) and 𝗘𝘆𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 (EMDR) are both types of therapy that use external stimulation to activate the hidden memories and emotions in the person’s subconscious.⁣ ⁣ They are both considered “𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀” that obtain breakthroughs when traditional “talk therapy” doesn’t seem to reach any improvements.⁣ ⁣ Is one better than the other🤔?
