Hello! We’re Taylor and Kevin from Mathers On The Map! Our mission is to help inspires others to get out and travel more without spending a significant amount of money. We’re currently heading to Europe to explore a few new countries to fulfill our goal of 30 under 30. We are also building a van with plans to explore North America during the summer months and early fall of 2020 documenting our journey along the way.

What do we publish?

  • We publish a mix of travel related content, focusing on destinations, what to expect when your arrive, how to save money while you travel (using credit card points and frequent flier miles), and we’re also stepping into the van life space, currently documenting our van build process.

Our audience:

  • The bulk of our audience is within the 25-34 age group with the 18-24 and 35-44 age groups following close behind. We see a large swing of female readers compared to male, with 79% of our readers female.

Brand partnerships:

  • We worked with two brands so far, both van life related. One, with Camperline Campervans, creating a written and video review of their van rentals, based out of Portugal. One with Mid City Engineering focusing on their back up (reverse) camera product for Mercedes Sprinter Van’s. This was also both a written and video step by step tutorial showcasing the product and how to install it to a sprinter van.

  • We would love to continue collaborating with brands related to the travel and van life industry. We have a strong drive to share new places and exciting experiences with our audience so we help inspire them to see new places.

Networking Connections:

  • We absolutely love the travel industry and want to continue to build relationships with other travel influencers.
  • Kevin has a particular interest in the personal finance space where he can provide valuable content related to personal finance in the travel space. Over the past 3 years we saved over $73,000 on our travel adventures, flying in luxury hotels and flying business class over 8 times along the way!

Highlights
Most Memorable "One Tree Hill" Locations Every Fan Can Visit

This cafe is where Haley worked part-time, where Haley and Lucas built their rooftop mini-golf course, the home of Haley and Lucas’s time capsule, and where Deb and Karen’s relationship really blossomed. In season five, Karen’s Cafe was turned into ‘Clothes over Bros,’ Brooke’s high-end fashion line, until season eight when Brooke and Haley restored the building back to its former glory, Karen’s Cafe. The Scott’s House is Nathan’s childhood home where he learned to play basketball, Lucas and Peyton kissed for the first time, Nathan and Brooke’s sex tape was released, and so much more! For example, this is where Peyton was attacked and held hostage with Brooke on Prom night by Ian, where Peyton and Ellie were able to spend time together before her death, where Brooke and Peyton lived together, and where Peyton and Lucas enjoyed that huge food fight!

Breakfast is served from 7 am until 10:45 am and daily Happy Hour is offered from 4 pm until 6 pm. Although breakfast was delicious, Kevin and I have heard wonderful things about lunch and dinner as well. Now with three locations throughout Portland, you can try Bite Into Maine while enjoying the views at Portland Head Lighthouse (their original location), while sipping on some local beers at Allagash Brewing Company, or at their 12-seat takeout location in Scarborough, Maine. Five Most Beautiful Towns Along Maine's Coast

That being said there are numerous fishing wharves as well as fishing and lobster tours available to tourists and residents of the area. Many upscale restaurants and bars found along the water are located inside historic converted warehouses only adding to the charm and ambiance. As for what to do in Portland, check out The Holy Donut, Portland Lobster Company, Allagash Brewery & Bite Into Maine, Portland Head Light, Shipyard Brewing Company, and much more! Kevin and I also recommend taking a walk down Wharf Street if you are looking for a good local restaurant, you’ll be sure to find one there!
