💫How do you apply your spray leave in conditioners? Do you spray in your hand or directly on the hair? I tend to start spraying in my hand and end up just spraying it on my hair. My only problem is the bottle is so slippery when applying it in shower 🚿 Is it just me?!? 💫How did I do rolling my R?!?!☺️ Yall know I love trying mousses!! Plus I love a good braid & curl! I tried @rizoscurls Curl Defining Mousse. It is a lightweight mousse but it did a great job on this hairstyle. Do you predetangle your hair wet or dry??? I definitely do both. This time I decided to go back to something I used to do at the beginning of my natural hair journey, predetangle with oil on dry hair. I grabbed my @adwoabeauty Baomint Protect + Shine Oil Blend to take down my mini twists. This oil blend is 99% naturally derived with 15+ oils to add shine and decrease tangles. I love that it’s a lightweight oil and it can be used many different ways. Taking a break from Wash and gos….. Let’s Talk About It!! So some of you have noticed me mention that I’m taking a break from Wash and gos. This is not an indefinite break, but I don’t think@my hair can thrive with them at this point of my journey. I am struggling with being able to stay on a weekly wash schedule. Sometimes I’m able to achieve, other times I totally miss the mark. Life be Lifeing over here! (Hi-five ✋🏾your neighbor if you know what I’m mean) The sweet spot for my wash and gos is 5-7 days, anytime after that my hair is getting dry and if I don’t wash my hair (or at least restyle adding more moisture) then I set myself back 3 steps. I don’t want to challenge myself to keep up with weekly wash days, I want to tailor my hair journey to what my life looks like Right Now! And even when I was keeping up with weekly washes, I wasn’t retaining a lot of length like I can when I do twist(outs), braid(outs) and other styles. Don’t get me wrong I still LOVE wash and gos but they can’t be my main style right now. I give my full thoughts on this in my latest YouTube video. 💕What do you do your mini twists with??? I’ve been doing mine with mousse lately for that lightweight feel. 💫How long does it take you to miss your curls after a blow out or silk press?? This was the wash day after blowing out my hair twice due to a hair fail and my hair was in a stretched state for 2 weeks. So yes I was ready to see my curls again. @agcare1989 #gifted me some products that I couldn’t wait to try. The Curl Revive Curl Hydrating Shampoo is just what my curl needed to come back alive. I washed my hair twice with it leaving my hair squeaky clean and my curls were looking good. But then I used the Curl Thrive Curl Hydrating Conditioner and YALL THIS IS A GOOD CONDITIONER!!! Style 1 or Style 2??? My curl sis @jazzyfrazier has been inspiring me to try different flat twist styles. Now style 2 was her famous style she has on her page and baby it was so hard for me to nail (still need work). I ended up rolling with Style #1 out of what I knew was safe. How I recovered a failed hairstyle 💁🏾‍♀️ I went with a half up half down twistout on blown out hair. Now I learned my lesson from last time and didn’t add too much product and I chose a product that is more oil based to keep my hair from reverting. I used the @patternbeauty Moisture Milk and it definitely got the job done. I retwisted my hair loosely every night (which I typically don’t do) and this helped me keep it a full week. What is your favorite hair tool or accessory that you refuse to live without? #AD Thankfully with @glowbydaye I don’t have to choose a favorite because they can supply me with them all. If I HAD to choose, it would be the deep conditioning heat cap. Although the heat is used lift the cuticle to increase moisture, I really like feeling the warmth, especially because I wash my hair in the shower. But I don’t know, my bonnets and scarves are a must have for me. Whether I’m just walking around the house or going to bed for the night, I MUST have one of them. And that Soft Hooded blow dryer attachment comes in clutch whether I’m on vacation or just traveling to my mom’s house for the weekend. See! This was the last wash & go before my official wash & go hiatus (I’ll address this later) but this @ilovethedoux combo was EVERYTHING!!! The last 2 slides is Day 7! The difference in this combo and the 808 base gel and Mousse Def was the amount of hold I got. I was expecting more hold with Mousse Def but I got it more with this one. I even like the application of this combo better.
