After 6 weeks here, I've developed a love hate relationship with Tulum 🌴 Don't get me wrong, Tulum is gorgeous, but it has turned into a playground for entitled tourists. I think it's paradise days are coming to an end. It doesn't have the infrastructure to handle so many people. Tulum is a jungle after all... I have worked remotely from so many places around the world, and Tulum has been the most frustrating experience. Accommodation is limited to overpriced apartments where you experience power cuts a few times a week or overpriced hotels on the beach which are more expensive than NYC. The most beautiful areas are taken over by Miami style beach clubs and most locals don't get to enjoy their own paradise. Tulum is still great to visit for a few days, but it's definitely not a place for digital nomads. I think I'll be moving on to Playa Del Carmen next! Any recommendations for other cities in Mexico that are good for remote work?
