A wise and lovely couple told us today that "Travel is the essence of therapy in action." - Spotlight Sojourns π€ As we've tried to develop new routines during our grief process, we have begun to learn so much more about ourselves as partners, but also in what nurtures our souls. In sadness, you can often realize what truly brings you joy. π€ We're reminded that travel is one of the things that brought us together, that cultivated Arner Adventures. It's why we made our big lifestyle changes.... so we could experience so much more. π€ We know travel makes us more empathetic. It opens our world to accept people despite our differences. We also know it can remind us that the world is full of more love, than not. It's full of more understanding. The world has more beauty than we can even imagine. It is said that with change, every falling leaf, there is pain. When the pain happens, the fall, the new leaf, it grows and so does the beauty from the pain experienced. π Sometimes, no... more than not, it's tough to see the beauty, the new leaf that comes from the pain, but slowly, our eyes begin seeing it. Maybe it's the result from the gratitude practice we put into place. π There are days when gratitude consists of simply being able to breathe. Being thankful for opening our eyes in the morning. Then there are days, like today, when the leaves from a plant you have had for years, shows the most beautiful heart, and with it, gratitude. π Just a reminder, to anyone who may be struggling, seeing the heart in the leaf of a plant can be what you're grateful for today. Other days, it can be the sun on your face, hearing birds chirp, or simply being able to breathe. It doesn't have to be monumental, but sometimes the little things are. π Grateful to have a life where love is so strong that the loss is so painful. Some people don't ever experience that. π Grateful.
