Replace my college dishes with me🍽️ When I was in college, I think I went to a Walmart down the street from campus and bought some dishes for $15-$20 bucks As a young, blossoming adult, I’m learning that I actually care about having nice dishware, and it can change the way I experience food. This simple switch has made me so excited to present my food in a beautiful way, which somehow makes it taste even better. Also, thanks to my dad @r.witty for buying these dishes when I was a teenager and saving/surprising me with them as an adult🤍 He knows me so well. Galentine’s Day Soirée 💝 too cute! I love hosting everyone in a while. When I do, I go all out. Here’s a few things I did to make the event special: - DIY Tote bags 👜 - Made heart shaped treats 🫶🏽 - Asked everyone to bring a valentine for the other💝💌 - Played Jackbox on the Nintendo Switch (Jackbox is a fun party game fyi) 🎮 - Created girly cocktails 🍸 - Played “Girls Night: Catch Up” 👯‍♀️ All of the girls really enjoyed themselves and were able to leave with a goody bag full of valentines. It feels so good to have a clean home and a blank slate for the new year. Here’s a few other things I did to make 2024 feel like a fresh start… ⭐️ ORGANIZE MY PANTRY: My pantry was always cluttered and disheveled. I finally took the time to organize it and throw away expired foods. I’m so glad I did too, because everytime I open it, I smile. ⭐️ ORGANIZE MY LINEN CLOSET: I took the time to reorganize my linen closet and make it make sense. I now have a place for everything to go and bins to put my back-stock in. It feels amazing. ⭐️MOVE FURNITURE AROUND: When a new year rolls around, sometimes I like to move the orientation of my furniture. It feels fresh and new even though it’s the same pieces I know and love. ⭐️EMPTY MY LAUNDRY BASKET: raise your hand if you hate doing laundry🙋🏽‍♀️Even though it’s my least favorite chore, I put my mind to it and got the job done. Now I can go into the new year without the added stress of laundry hanging over my shoulder. ⭐️DONATE UNALIGNED ITEMS: I went through my closet and found pieces that didn’t align with this version of myself. I also donated home decor that didn’t feel right in my current home. I’m gifting a few items to friends and donating the rest. I feel so refreshed having more room in my closet and my home. Now I can replace those items with pieces that bring me joy.
