Indie Mood was born out of Liv and Giulia’s shared love of indie makeup, perfume, nail polish, and bath and body products. We wanted to create a sense of community within this group of creative people in order for all of us to share our love of indie creators! Indie Mood brings together news, new releases, reviews, and creativity in order for our readers to have one place to refer to for everything indie! The passion and originality of Indie Creators are huge inspirations to us, and we love being able supporting them.

Fun and Colorful Self-Care Essentials from Giving Living Co

Owner Kelsie Benge replies, “Giving Living Co was born during a random pregnancy cry about the puppies I couldn’t save at a Petco adoption event. Here are my thoughts: Giving Living Co’s bath bombs are HUGE! For example, their bath bomb Hansel & Deadel smells like gingerbread but has base notes of vanilla and chocolate, middle notes of ginger, nutmeg, honey, and clove, and top notes of orange, lemon, and bergamot. They have really gentle, calming, unscented soap varieties like their Goats Milk and Honey Facial Bar, along with colorful and unique bars like their Swimming Unicorn Soap.

We Talked to the Owner of Glisten Cosmetics About Inspiration, Creativity, and Collaboration

I always find that the owner Natalie’s products inspire me to create, and the Glisten Instagram feed – All images are from us, Natalie, Glisten’s Instagram, or Glisten’s website. I love plants (who doesn’t?), and with this palette I wanted to add something extra, so for every sale I donated money to One Tree Planted. I love Disco Dynamite’s colour story, I love the donation part of Totally Botany and I love the artwork of 1991.

THE 2020 INDIE MOOD AWARDS ARE HERE!

We had over triple the number of votes in 2020 than we did in 2019. This has been a year of unprecedented times (we really miss precedented times…), but the Indie community has been a constant network of support and positivity. Whatever happens this coming year, we’ll be here to continue showcasing all the incredible innovation, diversity, and passion that small businesses deliver. Product pictures are from brand websites or Instagram pages, or ourselves unless otherwise stated.

Review of the My Chemical Romance Makeup Collection

Hipdot’s collaboration with the band is inspired by their iconic 2004 album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. Hipdot truly captured the colors of this era of My Chemical Romance, a trio of colors which I refer to as blood red, black death, and pale ghost white. The eyeshadow palette is a perfect blend of the color palette of the artwork from that album as well as how the band dressed at the time. The collection consists of the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge eyeshadow palette, a double sided eyeliner, a double sided brush, and a pin that only comes with the complete box set.
