If you’re looking for a road trip from Toronto this winter, we’re going to share some things to do in Montreal for families who aren’t looking for winter sports (though there’s plenty of that too, of course). I also recommend calling ahead when travelling with kids so you can order a kids meal (mac and cheese with fruits and veggies). What unfolded was a beautiful multimedia light show and while I did have to calm the kids and tell them to sit down and enjoy what was unfolding in front of them (it was truly magical), they did get into the spirit of things and started running around and trying to interact with the narrative journey through the seasons, from winter’s dim light to a lingering summer sunset. : We love this Quebec brewery and have taken the kids there when they were infants but on our last visit a couple years ago, we were informed that kids were no longer allowed there.

Born in Sri Lanka raised in Dubai, Bahrain, Pakistan, U. S, Australia and England, I now find myself settled in Toronto. Having dined out and traveled to over 33 cities in 8 countries since the first baby was born years ago, we encourage you to travel and enjoy the culinary offerings in your own city! while on Mat Leave in 2011, I never envisioned being able to maintain such an audacious, at times hectic, life outside of our Downtown Toronto haven. As Yashy and I have continued to explore new activities and culinary experiences inside and outside of Toronto, I knew I needed to begin telling our stories from the Dad’s perspective.

For the past 15 years Air Transat and the Children’s Wish Foundation have taken to the skies in search of Santa. Make A Wish Canada recently merged with The Children’s Wish Foundation and the families I met on board the Toronto flight were true warriors. Every parent I spoke to on-board was grateful to Air Transat and the Children’s Wish Foundation for giving them the opportunity to have this experience as a family. During this magical day, Air Transat announced a donation of $100,000 to the  Children’s Wish Foundation, which represents the amounts collected over the past year as part of the Air Transat’s Small Change, Big Hearts program.

Today I want to share with you our favourite baby registry items if you live in a condo or if you like to travel. We used the Phil and Ted’s travel crib not just for when we stayed in hotels or apartments that didn’t offer cribs/pack and plays but also when we were out for late dinners at our friends’ places (full review here). It’s so easy to pop up and to travel with that it enabled us to be social despite having a newborn which is why we didn’t even think twice about the additional cost. Ironically we used a doggy play pen (yes, it’s true- gulp) as it was easy to fold up when we had company however I now see products like this travel play pen on offer and given how easily they fold up, if you could convince your baby to nap in there as well, you could use this play pen as your travel crib too.
