My name is Jeanette Salvatierra. After much reflection, I define myself just as a soul, that landed as a baby girl in Venezuela on January 27, 1964. A soul with multiple passions that try to lead by example how to live a purposeful, happy and fulfilled life, despite the so called “difficulties” that everybody faces. I love to learn about human nature, to understand this human experience of mine, but also to serve others in their own quests towards the achievement of their own definition for happiness and success. These two concepts summarize for me the duality of human existence: spiritual and material. My 20+ years of experience, as Sales and Marketing Executive in Latin-America, for two of the most relevant information technology companies of the last 50 years (IBM and Microsoft), taught me the corporate mind set, which has been evolving to understand that professionals are first and foremost human beings, with talents, passions and values, besides skills and experience. That also company’s role in society is changing because clients, employees and society demand corporate responsibility, personal grow opportunities and environmental responsibility, besides products or services. In this context, in 2014 when I graduated as Life Coach, I decided to focus my practice on Career Development, to support individuals to identify how to succeed as employees, transitioning into new roles or industries, or pursuing an entrepreneurship. In some cases, even coaching in how to incorporate social responsibility in their lives. Also, I created programs to foster productivity and resilience in organizations (HappyBizBetterBiz ™) and at personal level (Conscious Productivity ™). I’ve had the opportunity to cultivate my passion for writing. As a mean to communicate ideas that may help the Spanish speaking community, I blog regularly on my own bi-lingual blog, contribute to portals such as “Inspirulina”, “Tu Estima” y “Cincuentasticas”, and have published a book entitle “Living in Gratitude Mode”. In this book I tell my personal story about how gratitude helped me develop my resilience, recovering from the devastating loss of my eyesight: a painful process that started in 1999, at age 35. This fact is a crucial milestone that led me to leave my corporate job in 2007, starting in 2008 as entrepreneur. From happy and successful I became bitter. Anger and fear were almost constants. This change was progressive as my vision was diminishing. In 2004 love, gratitude and new thoughts habits came to my rescue, allowing me to embrace my emotions, overcoming sorrow and anger, to continue my life as a productive and inspiring person. From 2007 to 2011 I grew my businesses in Venezuela and decided to relocate with my family in mid-2011 in the United States. For almost 3 years I devoted myself to my family and to retrain as a visually impaired woman, becoming fully functional at home (I cook, clean and do most house chores by myself), learned braille, to use my white cane and my beloved laptop computer. Becoming “and inspirational person” wasn’t something I pursue on purpose. The fact is that people started to notice my attitude, my actions to thrive professionally and personally, and named me “Gratitude’s Lady” or “La Dama de la Gratitud” in Spanish and most recently “Life Impacter” (I don’t even know this word exist in the English language!)
In 2018 I started 2 dreamed projects of mine: my own show “Por Esta Ventana” transmitted on an internet radio station, and my digital community for women “Celebrando Lo Femenino”, in partnership with my dear colleague Glenda Travieso. Thru “Celebrando” we call both men and women to embrace their feminine, represented by their emotions, intuition and creativity to incorporate these attributes with rationality and decision making (male attributes), to grow as individuals and to transform our world. Additionally, technology and marketing remain as my passions, since I started my college years and later graduated as a Computer Science Engineer in 1987 and obtained my MBA with marketing concentration in 1994. I’m always learning about modern technologies and how to use them to increase my own productivity and reach. nowadays I’m a proficient user of Information Technology to run my business, connect with clients and prospects and of course, to have fun. I really believe that Fun is a pivotal component of existence. I must confess that fun was the origin of my YouTube channel, which has evolved into a great tool to express my creativity, ideas and support people, specially my audience in my beloved Venezuela. Finally, I love my husband, our 3 children and our eternal puppy Loki: a 3 years old Golden Retriever that is my companion dog. I’m always looking forward to new opportunities to contribute, to learn, to keep giving back as much as I’ve received in life. I’m always grateful for a new day: for the light and joy of living a life with purpose. Productive, resilient and grateful!

What words of encourage I would like to share with other women in the world? Sisters, we can connect to give and receive, to learn and to serve. We are responsible to join efforts with men to build a more compassionated humanity. We can do it together! As women we have the intuition, sensibility and resilience required to reach higher, to inspire people and to pursue dreams.
