Weekend Getaway: 3 Days in New York City

If you’re like us and grew up watching Gossip Girl or Sex & the City as your girly guilty pleasure, then NYC was always on top of your list of places to visit. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, food lover, musician, or someone who desires a fast-paced city life, it’s time to give this place a visit. So, If you’re looking to spend 3 days in New York City to feel like a Carrie Bradshaw, then stick around for the must-sees and do’s! NYC may not be the greenest of places but it does make up for it with its endless amount of rooftop bars, which let’s face it, is the best way to see the city.

5 Ways Our Study Abroad Adventure Gave Us A Clearer Sense of Self

While Miranda was going to be studying French and business in Paris, I was going to be studying Spanish and business in Barcelona. Similar to the cluster of languages used in Europe every day, these customs reminded us of growing up listening to the two different dialects of Spanish coming from our Mexican father and Salvadoran mother. It never ceased to amaze us that even in a short plan or train ride, you could be in a completely different country with different set of laws, language, tastes of food, and history. Sure, we did the whole school thing, but our pure joy mixed with the crazy came from traveling all over Europe with our friends, getting lost in foreign countries with no English speakers around, and experiencing the nightlife that was unimaginable for any young adult in their 20’s.

Ubud, Bali: Our Eat Pray Love Experience

With tons of food options, countless waterfalls, rice terraces,  fancy villas, and the nicest locals, you’ll discover that you’re in for a treat. The special part about these flea markets are that they’re ran by local Balinese artisans, selling their colorful handmade clothes, plates, art, face scrubs, and more! Yoga may not be a must-do activity for the average tourist, however, if you’re really going after the Eat Pray Love experience, you’ll have to try it! After all, what better place to try yoga than in Bali, aka every yogi’s paradise?
