How to Survive Having a Toddler and a Newborn

Journee had her specific nap times, Jaxon had school time and scheduled television time. She just loves to help her mommy with her little sister and let's be very honest, having the extra set of hands (no matter the size) is really nice! During Joelle's small naps, Journee knows that is her mommy time. It can be hard to find time for all of them, but to keep things smooth in the house (as smooth as it can be with multiple children), this is so important.

Take Care of Yourself Mama!

This is my time to clean the house while it's quiet and there aren't little monsters running around destroying my house! One is autistic, one is sassy, this time of the day doesn't ever go the way I would like it to go! It didn't take too much time out of my day. It's time to make time for you!

I See You Mama!

We try our best each day, but wonder if our best is enough. AND MAMA, THERE IS NO SHAME IN ASKING FOR HELP! If you need someone to help with your dishes (this one's hard for me, but it's been done more times than I can count) SO, MAMA, I SEE YOU!

Spreading Awareness and ACCEPTANCE!

Some may not understand this, but when you have a child on the autism spectrum, you can't exactly parent them the way you parent the rest of your children. Reality is, having a child on the spectrum comes with it's own set of challenges and the world we live in just doesn't understand. She said, "He isn't giving us a hard time, he is having a hard time." Please don't give me parenting advice when you don't have an autistic child.
