Motherโ€™s Day Gift Guide

Iโ€™ve put together some of my favorite items that make GREAT gifts for the mamaโ€™s in your lives. You can get them all off of Amazon, with everything going on in the world lately, I wanted to make shopping for your special mama as easy as clicking a button! These are just some of my favorite Amazon products that I just know will be a hit with that special mom in your life. Happy Motherโ€™s Day mamaโ€™s!

My favorite Baby Apps!

Haha โ€“ below are my top favorite baby apps that carried me through pregnancy and apps that I now use on a daily basis! Thanks to research and some mommy friend recommendations I also wanted to let you all know that every app listed is FREE except for The Wonder Weeks app (I believe it was $2.99 but completely worth it!) If you personally know of any other baby apps Iโ€™d love to hear about them!

Sleep Training: Week by Week

Originally my plan for sleep training was to go from the girls requiring their two night feeds to completely removing both and teaching them to sleep all night The thought of teaching the girls to sleep in their nursery all night seemed a lot simpler than eliminating feeds, if they woke my plan was to go in and do what I normally did when they slept in our bedroom โ€“ On top of constantly waking up they were also not finishing their bottles, at 3 months old the girls are both drinking 5oz of milk per feed, during week two of sleep training they would at times only drink 2-3oz per feed. When we feed the girls at night we always make sure to keep the sound machine going, minimal light from the flashlight on our phones (facing towards the floor so the room is just bright enough) and not talking or engaging more than we need to in order to complete their feeds.

My experience with postpartum depression

One day to another I went from a crazy 100-speed work-filled life to being home full time at 4 months pregnant with nothing to do. It is now December 2019 and Iโ€™ve been home full time for 4 months now, my pregnancy the last 4 months was exceptional and even impressive to the doctors and nurses who treated me on a weekly basis. It all just hit me, I went from living the life of a workaholic who always had something to do, was always needed by someone, who hung out with her friends and family weekly and had weekly date nights with her fiancรฉ to being responsible for two small lives and having no adult communication all day. I started taking mommy time (whether in the AM or PM when the girls slept) I started planning weekly girls nights with my friends and I started to read again.
