After years and years of trial and error, I’ve learned so much about what goes into common, everyday products and how they affect our bodies. I’ve been fortunate enough to find products and a routine that are truly natural, non-toxic and chemical free. That’s what spurred me to start Purely Hallie.

Wine that’s produced in the conventional way can contain up to 70 added ingredients including unnatural yeasts, pesticides, added sulfites and more! There’s even an online subscription service completely devoted to natural wines that will send good options right to your door. Dry Farm Wines sources wines from all over the world that meet a variety of rigorous standards and meet organic or Biodynamic standards based on the particular producer. They take great pride in continuing the conversation about natural wines and take a leadership role in helping other winemakers better their practices both in Oregon and abroad.
But, unfortunately, if I bought a full sized product and didn’t like it, I’m stuck with it and either have to give it away or let it sit in my bathroom cabinet. I’ve started to opt for products that offer mini or travel sizes because that way, I can try it and see if I like it enough to invest in the full size. Right now, CladProper carries minis from top beauty brands including Olio E Osso, Suntegrity Skincare (one of my favorite sunscreen brands! Remember when I went over how “Fragrance” is one of the top four chemical ingredients to stay away from because it’s essentially a combination of up to 3,000 toxic chemicals that can cause cancer and/or disrupt the reproductive, nervous and endocrine systems? they are releasing chemicals into the air, and over time you simply get used to them (as you begin to lessen your exposure to synthetic fragrance like I have, you’ll really begin to notice a difference when you come in contact with them! If you take a look at the Environmental Working Group, you’ll see that almost 90 percent of the products listed as fabric softener have a rating of D or F, meaning they are highly toxic. In addition to massive amounts of synthetic fragrance, fabric softeners and dryer sheets also include many other toxic chemicals, including neurotoxins and carcinogens: My #1 laundry recommendation overall is to ditch fabric softener and laundry detergent (can you tell?)!
