Posted at 21:07 because baby is finally asleep šŸ˜“ Finally hit 1k annual KM this year, it was really a team effort of my chilled baby, my partner, my parents - and my legs. Super grateful, super happy! šŸ„³

Want to win Ā£10,000 of my gear? Join the SunGod Factor 50 Challenge! šŸ§” Ad/ Starting on 4th of may, you just have to log 50 minutes of outdoor activity on Strava to get a chance to win AND get a voucher for 20% off your @we_are_sungod order. The question if Iā€™ve got any discount codes for these great cycling glasses drops in weekly in my DMs, and no, I donā€™t have one so this is a very rare occasion! šŸ˜Ž What could you win? For example, this @ridley_bikes Kanzo Fast, a second wheelset with personalized colors by @bikebeat_germany, a pair of road- and gravel Pirelli tires, the Edge 1040 solar, a full Bikebag-Combo, at least 6 kits from Straede, 6 SubGod glasses with interchangeable lenses and 6 @keegopioneers bottles. But to be honest, itā€™s absolutely up to you what you pick as a winner. šŸ„³ How to enter? Join the challenge on Strava via the link in my stories šŸ˜ šŸ“ø by @daniel_willinger

Gravel: a little now vs. then I have to bring more consistency to my posts in the feed here again. At the moment, the stories just seem to be more fun. šŸ¤— When I bought my first ā€žgravelā€œ bike, it was a crosser. There were already a few brands selling gravel bikes but it wasnā€™t really a thing. Riding gravel was mostly laughed at or belittled by people that are riding gravel bikes today, so I tried two CX races with it. Thatā€™s something people could laugh at due to my absolute lack of skills - but I finished both and even got some prize money. šŸ«£ While that was how my career in cyclocross ended, it wasnā€™t the point where my love for riding off-road on gravel was as over. I bought my first gravel bike already second hand and sold it after 2 amazing years to my brother, whoā€™s still using it. This bike probably has its 10th birthday this year and still works like a charm! Whoever says that good bikes are expensive: the usage costs of this bike + maintenance are way below a Sky Abonnement now. How do you like our @ridley_bikes mud family? (5th slide) Today, Iā€™m very proud of the #KanzoFast I built over the past years: itā€™s a true head-turner with its custom wheels and Iā€™m sitting super comfortable because of the shorter cockpit. šŸ‘Œ This bike will make me happy for many more years, but maybe I will guvecthe groupset a little upgrade in the upcoming year. The rise of the gravel bike is amazing, now we just need a ride of legal gravel routes. šŸ™„ #youlikeitbikeit Pics by @martin.granadia and @florianrogner

Some #photodump from last weekend šŸ„° 1. finally out on the bike again 2. rare footage of my right hand not completely numb as I was just at the physio before the ride 3. first day over 30 degree for my son šŸ„¹ 4. baby is with the grandparents and I went on my longest ride in ages (80 km lol) - stayed on the flatter routes because that works better with my hand 5. some sun for my #edge1040solar ā˜€ļø 6. baby šŸ¦¶šŸ» love 7. Prater Hauptallee on a sunny Sunday is the proof that more space for unmotorized vehicles doesnā€™t automatically means less stress - the open roads were definitely less dangerous than the bike lanes this weekend šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

I may be smiling but deep down, my right hand is half numb since a few months šŸ„² Who would have thought that my worst injury on the bike so far would be a squeezed in nerve but here we are. 3 fingers on my right hand are constantly numb and really fall asleep badly when cycling and especially during descends. The good news is that it has nothing to do with my spine but the bad news is that we canā€™t do anything as long as Iā€™m breastfeeding (normally, at this grade of CTS one would get a few injections and itā€™s likely to go away and if that doesnā€™t help, they cut the ring around the nerves in a small operation). Itā€™s likely to go away when I stop breastfeeding tho, but thatā€™s gonna be after this summer the earliest. So here are a few things suggested by my orthopedic that Iā€™m gonna try in the upcoming weeks, to continue cycling: šŸ¤ž visit physiotherapy on a weekly basis šŸ¤žcontinue to work on my core and shoulder strength twice a week šŸ¤ž do another bikefitting (will go to @veletage for that again because @cvjosh already did wonders for me a few years ago) šŸ¤ž get my hands on a bike with a more upright position, like a hardtail MTB or even a citybike šŸ¤ž work with a TENS machine šŸ¤ž work with my @compexinfo Tags: #CTS #carpaltunnelsyndrome #carpaltunnel #cycling #cyclingapparel

Just registered for my first race postpartum and šŸ„ surprise šŸ„ itā€™s a TT! To be more precise, itā€™s the @neusiedlerseeradmarathon pair time trial taking place in a few weeks on 21st of April. I did it twice already, once with @just.cycle.girl (whoā€™s expecting now too) and once with @natalie.xri whoā€™s now racing with the @viccrd too - and the atmosphere has both times been amazing, so Iā€™m pretty much looking forward to if! This year, Iā€™m starting with Karin, whoā€™s a teamie, coworker AND freshly made mum too! šŸ¤ But weā€™re hoping for a few more women at the start! A timetrial (TT) is a great way to test the legs for the season, just like to get some race experience as a newbie. As you wonā€™t race in a mass, a crash is less likely to happen and with 26km, the course isnā€™t too long. Mƶrbisch, the start and finish, is located next to beautiful Neusiedlersee and can be reached from Vienna by train and a 10 minutes bike ride. If we find 6 more women šŸ˜Š 3 more teams) who have or will get an amateur (!) license until then, we could even battle for the Austrian national amateur pair TT title there! šŸ‡¦šŸ‡¹šŸ… And if you start at the Solo TT, you can qualify for the UCI geanfondo world championships 2024. Well, itā€™s all pretty exciting for me, my legs feel good but my overall fitness is quite bad because of the extra weight 3,5 months after giving birth. But I wonā€™t let that or the lack of consecutive sleep hold me back from having a great afternoon and finally giving it all again after the pregnancy. And a little belly gives aerodynamic advantages, isnā€™t it? šŸ’Ŗ

Easter is nice but have you heard of @rondevanvlaanderen? šŸ‡§šŸ‡Ŗ #throwback to last spring discovering #cyclinginflanders with the girls šŸ„³ first shot by @clippedinandfree

Over are the days of bulky and cringeworthy helmet camera constructions. āœŒļø I just hang the very light magnetic necklace (included in the starter kit) below my jersey and baselayer - and off we go! šŸŽ¬ Camera: @insta360 GO 3 Leave a comment with ā€žCAMā€œ and Iā€™ll drop you the link in your DMs! Youā€™ll get some free gifts if you order through it (like a travel case) and thereā€™s an Easter sale at the moment. ā˜ŗļø *Advertisement, affiliate link

Finally the season of the endless* rides has started ā˜€ļø *but youā€™re a mom to a newborn so endless is an hour now for you

Photo dump of our first holiday as a family šŸ„° Soaking up the mallorquĆn sun (not the baby) and enjoying adventures like the first swim (the baby) together are absolutely amazing. I just thought that I would be able to do a little more riding, but that time will come again. šŸ¤ž Tags: cycling - Mallorca cycling - roadbike - postpartum - first holiday with baby - sports comeback - postpartum recovery

Itā€™s #IWD šŸ’Ŗ in the past year, Iā€™ve wrapped my head a lot around how being a women formed me as a human and an athlete. The reason was that I was expecting and the question if itā€™s a boy or a girl was a quite frequent one. Probably because - if weā€™re being honest with ourselves and our society - it still makes a huge difference for the kids. But we can be the generation to give them the same chances, the same safety and the same support of interests, no matter the gender! On the other hand, we as women can literally grow some balls. Like, from scratch. Try that, men! šŸ˜š Still, while doing this, we have to worry if some marketing director likes our work enough to keep supporting us in our new role. Over the years, Iā€™ve seen so many athletes becoming a father and bam - hereā€™s a new bike, everything continues like before. Itā€™s definitely not the same for us women. Sure, itā€™s just one little thing in the big world of inequality in the world of cycling. Iā€™m already so frustrated with the whole license- and race story I donā€™t even want to talk about it anymore. And let alone pro cycling teams still not paying some of their riders. And and andā€¦ Is this really the picture we want to draw of our industry? Because it fucking sucks and I wouldnā€™t have known how to explain this to my potential daughter. šŸ“ø cover image by @daniel_willinger

Last week was my first week with more than 100km outdoor. šŸ„³ ā€¦at least since about 5 months! I would be lying if I said it was easy, but I absolutely love it. Cycling outdoors feels more like a few years ago, when I started cycling and catched the roadbike fever again. For example, every little incline is a challenge now and Iā€™m coming home 110% baked. And even the kind of boring beginning-of-spring-surroundings get me excited. So yep, I catched the roadbike fever again! šŸ„¹ The only thing thatā€™s missing now is some tan on my legs! ā˜€ļø šŸ“ø by @moving__me

Some #StradeBianche memories from last summer to get into the weekend vibe! šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹ I can highly recommend to check out those dusty roads if you ever get the chance, just not 5 months pregnant in the Italian summer heat. šŸ«  Some of the most memorable roads Iā€™ve ever done!
