✌️some VEGAS observations: it's definitely still expensive, but honestly, if you've traveled anywhere else lately, prices in Vegas haven't gone up THAT much. This is my first time being here in Jan/Feb, in between big events and it's SO nice. Way less crowds & don't really have to make a rez to get in anywhere. Will def return this time of year. Pedestrian bridge coverings: I forsee this being a new thing. They started covering the glass from the pedestrian bridges during F1. Now they're doing it as advertisement for Super Bowl. Will this be a new trend? Can officially say the $20/$50 trick is no longer required. We were friendly & polite at check in and received a free upgrade to a mini suite fountain view room. Yes it helped that we checked in on a Sunday night. Mazatlan is the only Spanish Colonial coastal city in Mexico! Walking the streets of the historic centre, I feel like I'm back in New Orleans or Paris - it is absolutely beautiful 🩵 It reminds me so much of Mérida in Yucatan, one of my all time favorite cities. MZT is truly the best of both worlds - beautiful old world architecture and a stunning coastline. Now I understand why people disappear in the Finger Lakes... Would you believe this is a winery? This is Castel Grisch Winery, 5 minutes from Watkins Glen in New York. A whimsical wonderland. With dozens and dozens of wineries to visit, sometimes they all blend together lol...but not this place! I love making pour decisions 🍷 But seriously, we've had the best 4-day wine-vacation here in western New York! We're staying at a lake house along scenic Canandaigua Lake, which is part of the Finger Lakes - a beautiful, laid back area full of wineries, hiking, stunning vistas, farm fresh food, waterfalls and 11 lakes. We rented a convertible, drove the scenic byways, sampled LOTS of wine, enjoyed the waterfront, did wine tours by boat and ate delicious food.
