The 11 Cutest Costumes for Young Learners (with parents on a budget!)

Dressing up our littles without breaking the bank While Fall often leads me to dread the cold winter months here in Iowa, I admit that Halloween with two small kids can be super fun. As a boy mom who occasionally wants to borrow someone else’s daughter to play dress up, I like planning and seeing my children enjoy Fall festivals and costume parades. However, the following classics are adorable on little ones, can be easily worn or reworn, and do not include masks that often scare little ones. Nursery Rhyme or fairy tale characters (Little Bo Peep, Cow over moon, Dish with spoon,Little Red Riding Hood)

Love Has Always Been a Choice

To this day, I still have no idea why I chose those words; however, I sure am glad I did. It’s no lie to say I fell in love with my husband, because I did. I believe that’s why we have such a high divorce rate in the United States because our society views love as a feeling and not as a choice. Oh, I don’t love him anymore because he doesn’t make me feel good about myself.

For All the Women Who Struggle on Mother's Day

My grandma (closest family member) died the day after Mother’s Day a few year ago, and before I had kids I envied all the moms who got showered with love on Mother’s Day. If you didn’t do it today, give yourself some time later this week to journal or talk to a trusted friend about how you feel about your losses, roles as a mom, or whatever is on your heart. I write this for all of you feel like something is missing on Mother’s Day (or all the time). In the language of kids (well, little ones anyway), we know that they want us to spend time with them (and really be there, not thinking about 800 other things).

Five REAL Work at Home Mom Opportunities While Raising Children

Okay, well, that may be partially because I HATE going to the dentist, but the other reason is because last time when I took my two-year-old they bit his head off every time he tried to give me a hug My point is, as a continuation to my previous post where I listed opportunities that promise the world but leave you with a few pennies, working at home with children is a balancing act. If you want to work at home, set up a schedule where you do work time and kid time. Life, Business, Health, Grief, etc) I will be going over these in another post, but for right now, think of people who do what they love or that you want to do what they are doing and SEE what they are doing (how).
