For the first time in what feels like a long time. The pictures are from a couple weeks ago and going through them I already forgot about so much. The people took it in from Anchorage then got on the cruise ship. The train engineer actually let me take the train out of Whittier, so I got to see some pretty cool views.

If you’re wondering why I’m here, who I’m with, where I’m staying… During one of the days of the camping trip we drove down to Seward, a small boating town right on the ocean. We walked around on the docks, went down to the water, and went in the shops. Then we spent the night right on the beach on Homer Spit, which is a road that juts out into the ocean and has lots of little shops and fishing places.

It’s a lot different than high school where teachers are also your coaches and you can’t just not go to class. And since each class is only a semester, it’s like two school years in one. This year I played on a softball team, basketball team, drill team and even a hockey team. I can’t believe I already finished a year of college.

I’m back in my dorm after a quick trip to Utah to see family for Thanksgiving. I thought I was running a loop but turns out I was just running a dead end road, so my run ended up being a little longer than planned. Though it wasn’t fun, I’m glad it happened while I wasn’t at school It was so great to see family and it will definitely be a trip we will always remember.
