To be known, is to be loved πβ¨ It had been nearly 5 years since my parents had visited to see the little world I was building for myself and it feels like in the blink of an eye they had to go back leaving me with the heartbreak of having to choose my life and living it while they are so far away. I wish I could explain to someone who doesnβt get it how terrifying it is that the absolute quickest time I can get to my family in is 24 hours. 24 hours is too long of a time and I didnβt realize that being an immigrant meant constantly having to battle with this heartbreak π Sometimes I worry if I made the right decisions in my life to deal with this type of heartbreak but then I see Dan and Boomer and I know I must be doing something right, even though itβs so painful at times β€οΈ #immigrant #parents #indian #immigrantlife
