So yesterday I managed to fit in a long walk, had everyone’s dinner on the table before they got home and even baked a cake! 🙌🏼 Needless to say I was tucked up in bed by 8.30pm and think I’ve probably peaked too early in the week! 😴 The fact I’ve just said ‘night night’ to Stu instead of goodbye doesn’t give me night hopes for the day but let’s see what it brings 😂 Still working on this room.. beautiful chair to be added once I’ve sold a few more things from around the house.. maybe a child? #HelloThursday ✨

An easy peasy Easter craft 🐣 I don’t know about you, but I find the hour between school pick up and starting dinner a bit of a tricky time to fill (especially if it’s raining!) so when I have my organised Mum head on (not often 🤪) I try to arrange a little craft project to keep them entertained. Today we made these Easter chicks using toilet rolls and BBQ skewers 🐣 It was really simple to do and they loved painting with the different materials (plus it made good use of an Amazon box that I didn’t have to hide from Stu 😜😉) We’re not the best crafters but we do like having a go and so I was thinking I might share more of our creations as we make them for a bit of inspiration ? Just me and the little man in the house today (Stu’s taken the older two off to do some jobs) so I’m going to have a bit of a reshuffle in this room to try and make space for a bigger bed! 🛌 💕 I remember thinking the cot bed would last us years when we bought it, yet here we are in what seems like overnight, it’s time for us to change it again! Hands up who’s getting an early night ready for school in the morning? 🙋🏼‍♀️ (I’m already in bed) 😂 I’ve had an anxious feeling in my chest all day and I think I feel more nervous about her going back this time than I did when she started! But her book bag’s packed, her uniform’s ready and whilst it was a bit of a panic trying to find her water bottle we got there in the end! 🤪 No one can deny it’s been a bloody hard slog since Christmas but looking back I’m actually pretty proud of what we’ve achieved together! A quick test over dinner made it seem like she’s learned something so that’s good enough for me! Ad| It’s no exaggeration to say we love dressing up in this house! In fact I think they spend more time in dress up clothes than they do normal clothes! So when @melissaanddouguk got in touch asking if they would like to choose an outfit for World Book Day they were absolutely over the moon 🌙 Ettie loves pretending to be a Dr and her favourite book is one about the Body which she borrowed from school so naturally she opted for the Dr costume while Ollie loves anything about rockets and space so it was the astronaut for him ✨ 🚀 We’ve had so much fun playing space doctors this week! Even little Dougie got in on the action pretending to be the alien space patient 😂 👽 I can thoroughly recommend these costumes, they are brilliant quality and lots of fun.
